  1. well its been a while since ive updated this, so here goes all new front end parts, including ball joints, struts, upper bearing, tie rod ends, springs, polyurethane bushings and compression rod parts. everything was sandblasted and painted with black epoxy new toyota calipers and aluminum splash shields. the originals were gone, so i made some up at work. the aluminum is a little too thick, so the hubs rub just a tiny bit but that should go away as the hub wears the aluminum. new compression rod parts and cover

  11. i found out today that local powder coating shops will sell the powder. they filled (to the top) 2 of the plastic bottles for $8 eastwood charges $10 for half a bottle plus shipping. the shop i stopped at had a whole room full of 50# boxes of powder. call around before ordering more
  12. after reading up and indecision, i went ahead and bought some toyota calipers. the question i have now is this: for those who have done this, did you use the datsun factory caliper mounting bolts. they appear to be too short by about the thickness of the lock washer. if you replaced the bolts, what did you use? i stopped at the local toyota dealer, and they wanted $26 per bolt. who knows if they were even the right ones. thanks all sb
