  1. as for the prices, i believe it means 12000 yen. i.e the fairlady grille that is advertised for 35000 yen is about 350 US dollars hahaha..crap! The carbon fibre bonnet is about 900 US dollars.
  2. I open up the file on cd using WMP..but it has no recognised format.. at the moment it says .dat file. It is the same format that all vcd movies are captured in. At the same time, I just remembered that another volume of this series has the same driver blatting around the racetrack in one of the 240z nissan works cars during the nismo festival. * I understood his joyous yelps of delight when he opened up the throttle to mean : this car feels great. EAch of the vcd files is roughly 479mb...but the individual sections should be a lot smaller. just have to work out how to capture it.
  3. I have it only on cd at the moment, is there some way i can put it into a different format?? I dont have access to a burner either!! P.s If you check out the actual website for spirit garage, and wade through it with babelfish.. they have an amazing selection of parts ranging from carbonfibre bonnets, panels ... racing suspension, Ap racing kits, bore up kits, seats etc...for s30, kpgc10 , 510 etc all juicy juicy stuff! very expensive though understandably.

  5. I posted this on Hybrid Z a while back (not sure why, as this car aint no hybrid! ) Anyhow, it is Spirit Garage s30Z race car. with what seems to be an L24 bored out to 2.8 litres ? with triple 50mm solex carbies. I JUST got a copy of the video yesterday. It is of Keichi Tsuchiya punting it around a racetrack from a recent Hot Version VCD and it looks and sounds absolutely insane. 1:03 laptime was very similar to that of 550hp r34 gtr's and 500 hp FD rx7's, silvias etc. I would love to somehow convert it into divx etc so that you can all view it, however first i have no space nor the no how to host it, and the file would also be very large... (segment goes for about 10 minutes).
  6. My dream Z will be racing white... Current Z is spray paint green... with black underedges(spray paint of course)
  7. I spoke to the business that owns the 3k shell and managed to get these details: * rolling stripped bare shell * still in original orange paint * no apparent accident damage, straight panels, no apparent rust except in tailgate (2 spots) *"$3000 not a cent less" * They dont care if they dont sell it, because they wish to restore it themselves translation: i dont think they want to sell the shell.

  10. Ozzy Guy, could you PM me the details about the shell? What state is it in at the moment.. i.e primer, paint? for 3k id be expecting seam welding everywhere, 20 point rollcage and one of those racing girls who wipes down your helmet visor...
  11. Well the deal on the new Z doesnt seem to be going too well... So i may be interested in this 3k shell in sydney if Zkid doesnt go for it.. sounds pretty expensive for a shell!
  12. K no worries guys, As i said before, nothing is definite as yet... should know for sure within the month.
  13. I may have a Z rolling shell up for grabs in a months time. 1971 240z. BRG comes with l28 block and tranny, suspension, wheels etc. Everything else stripped. rust on rear panel ontop of tailights, and a tiny hole in front rails. Floorpans a tad brown too! 20. hey all, The Gnose, is a one piece fibreglass reproduction- moulded from an original gnose(or so they tell me). Ive emailed them a few days ago asking for further prices - but they are in the middle of a reorganisation and havent replied yet. I emailed the zcarworkshop a month ago and received nothing... email for you now: zr240 Cheers!
  21. hehe yep I emailed those blokes about a month ago with no reply. If you are interested in getting some metal fenders, doorskins, floorpans, or even a fibreglass Gnose conversion I went out to Zparts at thornleigh in sydney the other day and they have some in stock. They are in the midst of a reorganising their business at the moment though, so communication is rather slow.
  22. anyone know where to source fibreglass parts for a 240z in australia? looking specifically for a bonnet, and a fibreglass front end.(alternatively any sort of MSA style front airdam will be great too!) cheers,
