  1. That should be the car painted up as the "Dad's Rootbeer" car that Bob purchased a few months ago. The car looks good in the BSR livery.
  2. Cool see you at JCCS be sure to come by and say hi.
  3. it is a pretty amazing model, and a lot cheaper than my replica
  4. 1000 of them have already been sold in Japan so only 2000 left. 1000 are designated for the USA.
  5. CAM guy, I am actually from Walnut Creek originally so I know exactly were you are. Yes I am in Southern California now and have been for many years. We do get up to Laguna and there are events at T Hill and Sears Point, although they are a haul and we have not been up to those events yet.
  6. Nice looking car, what kind of racing is it set up for? From here it does not look to be vintage legal, too bad as it would be nice to have a few more Japanese vintage racers out on the circuit with us.
  7. you must have received the same email from Gayle.
  8. Kyosho is releasing a new Model, one I have been involved with over the last several years. At long last they have released the BRE #46 240Z. Modeled after my car, with extensive detail. This model is incredible and a got to have item for the BRE collector: http://www.bre2.net/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=B&Product_Code=brekyosho240zmodel46&Category_Code=models Available as of 8/18/09 place your order now with BRE and get one signed by Peter and John! Ron
  9. Always good to have a few race cars there!
  10. I agree, staying off the police radar is easiest in a race car that is not street legal, and only raced on the track.
  11. I don't know Rich... Unmodified? My race car is "Modified" for racing as it ran when it was new....
  12. I think that I will bring the roadster this year.
  13. Looks good Sandy, contact me if you need better web hosting.... Ron
  14. Will, you are in for a treat!! There are going to be some very special cars at the Mitty this next April. For sure it will be the largest gathering of BRE cars ever assembled. With all the guys as well. It is gonna be worth the price of admission...We are working on hauling 6 or 7 cars from the West Coast. Peter and Gayle have asked me to bring my Z out to take the place of the original BRE 46 240Z. I am flattered, and can't pass up the opportunity. I have seen John drive, and I have been out on the track with him. I feel like a kindergardener trying to keep up with a PHD. John is very tallented, and just the easiest going guy you could meet. He always has a great story and a smile. Carl, your right. Where is the excitement and the interest? Fortunately a couple of service writers in my area are big fans from way back, and they are always happy to see me. Ron
  15. Um, Dave what car are you talking about? I am assuming it was the car listed on ebay and not my tribute car....
  16. My car is not for sale, so Chris your right, I am not concerned about resale. I just want to represent the best BRE Tribute car that I can. See you at the Mitty next April!! Ron
  17. This other car is similar to mine, and was sold from an area close to where I live, I had to field several questions from the uninformed, stating that the car for sale was not mine..Arg! So I am a little more sensitive about this than I should be....
  18. Adam, Your right, nothing can be done. I just think if you are going to the time and expense, do it right. The Brocks want to help you do it right....what more can you ask for. John, nothing wrong with your car, I like the look, and it is not intended as a direct copy or tribute. R
  19. doubtful, but possible. I would jump it with a different battery and see if the results are the same. If it still won't start with a charged battery then you have a bad starter. If it starts with the other battery, then look at the alternator and battery and the ground and power connections.
  20. Ugh, Adam your killing me.... I hope we don't see a bunch of low end Z cars painted up as BRE replica's as the Brock's will not be happy, and I think it will hurt the history of the BRE cars. $15,300 is a good number for that car. It's about $6k more than I think the car is worth. It is a relatively clean driver with a paint job.
  21. That is a good bid for that car.
  22. Oh! I did not know there was an aluminum version! facinating.
  23. I have seen the triumph wheels fairly frequently, although these wheels require constant care as they are magnesium and any moisture will cause them to corode. So as a daily driver "wheel" they can be difficult to take care of. Even here in Southern California it is challenging.
  24. Mike beat me to the answer...
