  1. I went through some weird blinker issues and it turned out to be a connector pin in the harness near the glove box had pushed out of the connector. I think I have a large laminated wire diagram if you need one.
  2. I remember my older brother and Dad were swapping a clutch. I jumped in the car, pushed the clutch to the floor, blowing out the slave cylinder. I got out of the car and started running! Fun times. My Dad is now 87 and loves to brag on my mechanic ability. He's my biggest fan.....now. Lots of great memories.
  3. That sounds like a great way to spend the weekend! For a bonus the weather was nice too.
  4. May have to bring back the card catalog. I remember one too. I will check my bookmarks
  5. Great pictures! I like the new Z.
  6. Looking great Charles! I cant claim this is correct as I struggled getting that rubber installed too. I am pretty sure the inner flaps go under the door card. Outer one I installed under the trim. Love to know if I was correct!
  7. I have had the cheap tranny jack for years and I hate it. The double rods are nice. Buy once, cry once. you made the right call!
  8. They are really aluminum. My 911 has factory aluminum lug nuts. They are a bit of a pain as you need a cushioned socket to keep from damaging them and no air tool, ever. They cleaned up pretty good. I may get them polished and checked for roundness.
  9. I picked up an old (1973) set of minilte 14" wheels. They are in ok shape but the guy only had 13 lug nuts. The lugnuts are very light (aluminum) and fit the wheels. Has anyone ever seen lugs like these? I found a minilite website and I plan on contacting them, but thought I would ask here too. I think it would be nice to have this style lug nut. The guy also had this dual weber setup. If anyone is interested, let me know. The guy is local, super nice, and is trying to get rid of some old stuff. I have no interest in it but happy to help if someone needs it.
  10. This help? The black relay is an aftermarket flasher for the LED bulbs, I think I just used 3M adhesive tape to mount it.
  11. Are the original holes still present? I bought new ones and they matched the holes in the body. What measurement are you needing?
  12. Maybe this seal? https://www.thezstore.com/product/3008/factory-speedometer-pinion-o-ring-small-70-86-240z-260z-280z-280zx-300zx There is also an O ring that I think goes in the cable end. IIRC
  13. The yellow marks from the factory were applied pretty sloppy, like inline6 did. Here is a good reference of an original car, check out the under pictures https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-124/
  14. Very nice! What a beautiful restoration. I find a couple of pumps of the throttle before starting makes mine fire a bit quicker. After it sits for an extended time, it always takes time to fire up. I guess that's why later ones had the electric pump added.
  15. Wow, you have been busy!
