  1. Well, once again, if anyone wants it, please PM me by the end of July so that I can bring it back with me!
  2. Have you ever heard or seen "Nismo Racing Mirror" that were only used on race track back then. It was made by NISMO for Skyline GT-T (Hakosuka) and S30 Z cars on tracks. The last good condition original one that was sold costed "210,000Yen" (About $2300!!!!!!) Reproduction ones used to be available until few years ago for $700, or so. During this trip to Japan, I found this company that just started making ones again at less cost. As original, tt is made of Alumnum with 2mm thick chrome mirror, and it looks just like original one. Installation is very simple. All you have to do is that you replace your old leg off your mirror and replace it. If anyone wants ones, please let me know!!!! It is $395 at exchange rate of $1=91 Yen (at exchange rate) No shipping cost from Japan since I can carry it home.

After looking at 2 very original ZZZAP Cars that were sold as "First 8 units" at Datsun delaers in Southern California in Spring of 1977, I can pretty much tell if it was originally "ZZZAP" car or not....
  4. Does it work fine with no modyfication? Did you know there is exact reproduction made by one of Nissan supplier? http://shop.jdm-car-parts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=59 This one is exact reproduction with slightly larger diameter cable.

It was me, and as we had a discussion in the past, I produced very little number of these decal kit. As I was doing research one ZZZAP cars, I recently started to think these were never "1,000" units of these cars.............more like 100....... My friend bought one car, and I currently have one with 80K original miles and original paint.

:)Hello everyone, I am going to Japan for a business trip, kid's school, and vacation from this weekend till beginning of August. I will be posting interesting things I find over there soon. If anyone has questions regarding impossible-to-find parts, please post here so I can look for them or do a possible group buy from suppliers. Also I will conduct final inspection of the limited reproduction US tail lamps upon shipping there.
  12. I LOVE THAT!!!!!!!! That is great!
  13. I just ordered and received Black Dragon kit today. MSA has more pieces for the $, but they look identical to me. They did not come in Precision package, but they appear to be the same kit that MSA sells.

Your speedo cog might be damaged or the transcase side might be. Did you replace the inner seal as I mentioned before?

People in Japan do that all the time. It is fairly easier conversion from S31 body to S30 in Japan, since JDM version do not come with big 5 mile bumbers on the car. I think there is even kits for it too. There are also a kit clips to hold 3pc rear panel at the bottom as you see on S30.
  16. I am going on business trip to Tokyo during July and early August as I own a business over there as well. I am planning on doing finaly inspection before shipping them in a container. Please stay tune!
  17. That means there were black pearl painted Z available if you ordered them so? If so, not all the 280Zs in black pearl color were the Black Pearl Edition then....
  18. Wow! I did not know that! How many were they produced? Were there any Automatic trans version?
  19. BY the way, 1978 Black Pearl car should come with this type opf wheels.
  20. We created this so that the arrester band funtions as dumper to reduce that crunk during on-off accelarations. http://jdm-car-parts.com/customizing/goto-band-arrived-datsun-240z-260z-280z/

OK I can answer your questions. If you peel off that decal, there is engraved "choke picture" under that. What it is that, this choke picture was not clear enough to driver what it was, so Nissan decided to put that decal. So if you peel it off, and put whit crayon into the engraved picture, it will look good!
  22. I do not believe this car is in such good condition. Few pictures already tells me that there was a one day paint job on driver's side. All the hardware on driver's door have poor overspay from Body shop. And I know the inner door panel is not reinstalled right........ After market muffer..........after market carpet, worn steering wheel, worn driver's seat, 1/2 dash cap on original 63K car? Any more pictures? I will be able to spot many other signs........
  23. This vehicle reminds me of a fancy float at annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA in new years.................
  24. Arnie is right. It is UK spoiler. It is made of urethane, and they are very hard to come by. There is after market fiber glass one from SJ Motorsport? in UK. 80 pound? but shipping and exchange rate will made it around $350 or so. I have more photos here. By the way a friend of mine has a restored genuine one for $450.

I just found a commercial of "ZZZAP" on you-yube. Although it does not show that package......
