Ouch!! Crashed my '72
I admit my interest in seeing those pics may have been insensitive. Much like watching a train wreck. My apologies if that was received in a negative way. :squareeye

At last she can rest
...Well, after months of sitting I finally got the tranny rebuilt in my daily commuter, the 86 300ZX. Now, my 280 can take a break from those harsh commutes in the hot sun. She'll be pampered once again, but as always she got me by while my 300 was dead in the water. Anyway, just happy to have both of my girls running again. Z-ya.

Zcar and Member? on Discovery yesterday
yes, I posted this about a month ago or so. No one else saw it. He drove a red 260Z 2+2. I was pretty excited when I saw it too. Cool shot of him peeling out of the dirtroad. Glad someone else caught it!

Mpg....
I seriously doubt it's only a couple extra hundred dollars a year. With costs increasing at a exponential rate, my fuel budget is higher surely more than that after a year. And how about the people that have a long commute to work? Much much more, I say.

Sad story - friend can't smog his car
You may also want to consider changing the water pump while you're down there too. How many miles are on the car?

Sad story - friend can't smog his car
My pleasure. Anything to make sure a Z is left in the right hands. Good luck should you decide to acquire it yourself. Remember, timing belt is always suspect to being replaced if there is no documentation to prove otherwise. I'm in the minority but I am fond of the Z31's for different reasons. Cheers, Andy

Sad story - friend can't smog his car
In regards to "why stop there?": I've been advised to sell my Z31 because of the tranny. However, one of the reasons I won't is because I have alreday done the timing belt, water pump, cat convertor, etc. Otherwise, it'll be a waste of time and money. I might as well rebuild the tranny and keep her on the road.

I've had to change my driving habits due to the rising cost of gas. I know this may have been covered already, but shifting earlier seems to have have bumped up my mpg slightly. Anyone else taking it easy more often on the pedal?- Please help me before my dad gets back
