  1. I admit my interest in seeing those pics may have been insensitive. Much like watching a train wreck. My apologies if that was received in a negative way. :squareeye
  2. Any pictures yet?
  3. If you have the money, do it. You'll eventually have to in the longrun.
  4. Welcome aboard. You're in for one hell of a ride!
  5. ...Well, after months of sitting I finally got the tranny rebuilt in my daily commuter, the 86 300ZX. Now, my 280 can take a break from those harsh commutes in the hot sun. She'll be pampered once again, but as always she got me by while my 300 was dead in the water. Anyway, just happy to have both of my girls running again. Z-ya.
  6. Beautiful. Thumbs up!
  7. Do a search on this site on "Exhaust fumes". It's been covered before several times.
  8. yes, I posted this about a month ago or so. No one else saw it. He drove a red 260Z 2+2. I was pretty excited when I saw it too. Cool shot of him peeling out of the dirtroad. Glad someone else caught it!
  9. I seriously doubt it's only a couple extra hundred dollars a year. With costs increasing at a exponential rate, my fuel budget is higher surely more than that after a year. And how about the people that have a long commute to work? Much much more, I say.
  10. You may also want to consider changing the water pump while you're down there too. How many miles are on the car?
  11. My pleasure. Anything to make sure a Z is left in the right hands. Good luck should you decide to acquire it yourself. Remember, timing belt is always suspect to being replaced if there is no documentation to prove otherwise. I'm in the minority but I am fond of the Z31's for different reasons. Cheers, Andy
  12. I just did your friend a favor and posted the link on Z31.com. Maybe that'll help. http://z31.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=42382#42382
  13. or the first term.
  14. In regards to "why stop there?": I've been advised to sell my Z31 because of the tranny. However, one of the reasons I won't is because I have alreday done the timing belt, water pump, cat convertor, etc. Otherwise, it'll be a waste of time and money. I might as well rebuild the tranny and keep her on the road.
  15. Have him try Z31.com.
  16. I've had to change my driving habits due to the rising cost of gas. I know this may have been covered already, but shifting earlier seems to have have bumped up my mpg slightly. Anyone else taking it easy more often on the pedal?
  17. Don't forget to catch the glass orb too.
  18. They sell a copy of it at MSA. That is in case you didn't know. http://www.zcarparts.com/
  19. (sigh)........that's different! Car names are what we were discussing. Alright, here's where the thread jumps the shark.......oh wait, that reference wouldn't be so culturally relevant these days.
  20. Well, when someone is a Datsun enthusist you would think that they would know how to...............:cheeky:
  21. I have no proof or link at this time that would provide any info. However, I do recall reading something about the "Z" flag that Jason mentioned. Hmm.
  22. Gees, I had no idea. Sorry about that.
  23. "No limit". Scroll right above the clay model and it makes mention of this. http://www.zclubhungary.hu/EZHist.htm
  24. yeah, just messing around. :squareeye Wish I had an answer for you.
