  1. How big are these? It says "luxury sedan", but that can mean quite a bit. Are they LS400 big? Or just Maxima big? Or even A4 big? What do they cost? steve77
  2. 1967 Datsun Truck. Doesn't the coil wire wrap around a bit when you turn the wheel? steve77
  3. How do I get one in the US? steve77

Wouldn't be too bad if only the steering wheel weren't on the wrong side.... steve77
  5. Car? Alan, try to let them go a while....! steve77
  6. Turbo's just seem so fragile. It just seems to me anything that is subjected to those kind of temperatures and spins at those rates is just a failure waiting to happen. Maybe I have heard too many horror stories and have not known anyone who has had a long-term, trouble-free turbo experience. I'm not saying Superchargers are the way to go...I'm just snooping around. steve
  7. Nissan Racingcar If you don't already have it (and what die-hard Z fan doesn't??) it will tell yo you need Japanese language. You really don't. Just close the prompt and the pix will come up. there are some unbelievable cars here. There are a bunch of GT cars here and a bunch of silvias and some dimes. steve77
  8. Kindof a stupid question, but what were the other interiors called when offered? The really light one (off white) and the darker, kinda burnt fawn one. What was their official name? (found a 73 with the darker interior for $500!) steve77
  9. On the 'works' car, what is the bar in front of the cowl for? What are the rods on it attached to? And why would there be a shroud over the trumpets? Would something be attached to that for intake purposes? steve77
  10. Found this great gallery... It says the 240ZR is a replica, but the HS is original? Ummm, Alan? steve77
  11. And a red interior? steve77
  12. "Got in ...something...something...BOAC, Man, I had a dreadful flight. I'm back in the USSR. You don't know how lucky you are, boy... I'm back in the USSR." steve77
  13. You're RIGHT! there is no 'U'! I have a vintage Australian travel poster hanging over the toilet in my bathroom and I have stood there...well...quite often....and read that a million times and never realized there was no 'U'. Interesting. Great trivia question. So what does BOAC stand for? steve77
  14. Considering where you live, I would keep an eye on CLUBZ. They purport themselves to be a Z32 club only, but at the Fremont show, they were talking aobut how they welcomed 1st gens. I don't know how far you are comfortable driving South, but you might subscribe to our web site and even if you can't make any of our meets, we usually post all events happening North or South. CCZCC tries to have Northerly and Southerly meets alternating because our membership is so spread out. But the furthest North we usually meet is Morro Bay. Ten or so of us are traveling to Laguna Seca for a historic GT/GTP race. You are welcome to join us. Keep in touch. steve77
  15. Thanks, Alan... While I am not a member of the 'bone-stock religious right wing', I am pro-L-series, pro FI, anti-V-8 and anti-turbo. But the idea of a rock-crusher crossed my mind the other day.....I'm going to do some research too....Imagine building a mechanically FI 3.1 with a little Paxton on the side....... steve77
  16. Just curious if there were ever any dabblings with supercharging by the Nissan folks. Currently, a supercharged version of the truck has been available here in the US for a couple years, but I am not aware of it being offered in any other models. I'm wondering if the factory ever played around with it in the '60's or '70's for competition or in some obscure model. Come in: HS30-H. steve77
  17. There is a folder of them on our site...just click the link under my name. steve77
  18. First of all, this is Green/White???? Are you sure? For me it is very solidly white and blue--several shades of blue. Don't change it back unless you get more than 3/1 votes against. You have to assume change will be trepidious to some. Alan, Alan, Alan...You're brutal. Spot-on, but brutal. I think a bit less modification might be more appropriate too. The 3 posts per page needs to go! I can't keep up! When I clicked on this thread, there were 3 pages; as I read page 2, page 4 showed up in the bottom and as I read page 3, it appeared that there were now 5 pages! Slow down, people! For the voyeur in all of us, the 'Who's Online' tab is pretty neat! Shows you what everybody is doing and refreshes often! Almost scary. How long before "SPUDZ's wife made him take out the trash. Be Right Back." Spooky. Looks great Mike. Dang, do you have a life? steve
  19. For those planning on attending the vintage race at Buttonwillow this weekend to see Mark Belrose's 240 kick some Porsche butt, things have changed a bit. He is racing Saturday, not Sunday. Hope everyone can still make it. Here is his schedule: Saturday, September 28, 2002: 8 am - rookie practice session 11:30 - rookie race 3:00 - group 4 qualifying Hope to see some of you there. Any other Datsuns in the reach of this e-mail racing there, then? Steve McConnell Central Coast Z Car Club
  20. Where did you get a Patrol in the US? steve77
  21. And if anybody doesn't want to muss with EBAY, I have a set for a cool $1000. "Daddy? Where's my venturi at?" steve77
  22. Sorry, not I--although it would be cool...I'm happy with my AOL. WEll, not actually 'happy', but staying put. AOL is a horrible, disgusting, decrepid, worthless, sanitized, expensive piece of crap isp BUT as bad as AOL is, it is just slightly better than everything else out there. steve77
