  4. Ohhhhhh SNAP ! Freakin Sweet Bro, Thyanx ! I got one of the part numbers for Hybrdz to go through for the rear sway bar but it came back made from Suspension Techniques. Have placed a bid on Nismo Sway Bar Busings though on ebay for 5 bucks and fits 1973-1978 Datsun 240z, 260z & 280z, 22mm and another 7/8" front or rear. 55617-E7210 and 54617-xxxxx ~Z~
  5. Thaynx Blake! New part number for 15010-S8000 is 15010-F800A. The competition oil pump number 15010-A1100 came back as a never used number. Don't know if this is true or not or if the number has a typo. 15010-F800A is a $172.00 part by the way and does flow 15% more oil. The fuel pump (what everr Part# it may be) is suddenly not in the system, but then again I was never told if it was for 280Z or not. But knowing your knowledge is far greater than mine 280Z was not the case. But in any event the fuel pump turns up NLA at least searching without the part number Also how about the Nismo front and rear sway bars numbers? Essentialy thats the last part I need on my parts list to finsish off old Ruby Girl :bandit: ~Z~
  6. Hello Guys I need help with the parts numbers for 2 oil pumps and 1 fuel pump. I found a Nismo "High Velocity Oil Pump" that flows 15% more oil and also a "High Preasure Fuel Pump at 90 psi" Like to know the part numbers for those 2 pumps so I can order the correct one for my 1977 280Z. I'm not sure but I assume the oil pumps are all the same as it's qouted as being for the L6 engine. Also any Nismo part numbers for the Fuel Pumps aswell or at least the last number they were issued. Please call me at my parts store number at 530-301-1562 if I'm not online cause I need order the oil pump and fuel pump ASAP! Thyanx ~Z~
  7. WoW, Down to my last 3 ! ~Z~

Hope you got the msg about the California Blue Plates. 919 Yellow thats it, I knew you had a rare color or at least one of the more cooler ones. I'll call you Monday with the numbers as mentioned, turns out Tomie also makes cams and valve springs as well as intakes for 240Z's. Lets look forward to Spring so we can get those Bikinis out again ~Z~

It's been awhile since I lived there, your right summers are pretty dry but the last vacation I took to Vancouver, Washington / Portland, Oregon was a few years ago in the 1st day of July and I left on the 1st of August. It was raining hard in dreary the day I got there and stoped for the month, except for 2 or 3 drizzles, and went back to dark and dreary rain again the day I left. That was my first trip back after living in Cali and here I don't recal when it ever rained in a summer month. Just thought it odd to see that kind of rain in July. When I got back home though my dad said he, my cousin and Uncle would watch wheater channel and lough when I was raining out ! Watching that Doppler Raddar But alas it's a nice place to live with the evergreens but it's just too cold for me. Thats why I'll never go back to Indiana, try those winters  ~Z~
  12. Those darn fees are ridulous! A $250 auction item sold is reasonable like around $6 bucks in fees with bold option. But try and sell the $250 item at a buy it now price and they all of a sudden they want $24 in final value fees or something like 12% ! And if you notice the first 3 pics used to be free, now it's donw just one pic. And all of their little extra options have gone way up in price now they wonder howcome their profit margins are dropping. I mean come one, ain't like they gotta stock this stuff, they're just a website that host the sell. If they lower the pirces they'd sell more in lower price options but a very good friend og mine, who just past away, was explaining to me the rule of 33. I thought that makes since only if you're actually selling something physically in stock and not just a online service, good greif, lower the prices. And further more whats with it the completed listings box keep disapearing! ~Z~

WoW :surprised That may explain the lack of them out pick in pulls I lived in Oregon / Washington state a long time when I was little and the only time it didn't rain was one whole month in the summer and even then it drizzled a few times. Wheather totally sucks there  The few I seen here in Califiornia held up pretty well, just old and dusty. But then again not much rain here but once 2 weeks ago and it's already nearing November. Sunshine State! And TONS of Datsuns ! ~Z~

Yep just search for B&C Industries and they'll turn up in a ANSA descussion. ~Z~

1st yes they are total replacemt for the stock muffler unless marked specifically as a "tip only" piece. Alot of the ones your see in the low $40 to $125 are the universal type that will work on any car while at the same time improving performance by simply free up the stock mufflers restrictiveness. The Twin Stack ones like the ones I currently am selling do go for the higher range simple becouse it was SPECIFICALLY desinged for the S30Z serious of Datsun cars and no other. Add the fact it looks cool and is rare in style and also rare for being made soley for our Z's :rambo: What goes with the specificness is the methode ANSA uses when making a Sport Resonator is the make several prototypes in a ongoing precess to not only come up with the best sound but to also get the best performance out the enigne. Mainly the sound is what they're known for as the "ANSA Roar" as it was once marketed. The sound is tested by attaching the resonator then placeing a bunch of microphones around the car in stretegic locations to record the sound waves and presure levels to see which and where each sound wave and frequency is coming from. And how the body of the car (panels and such) affect them. This info alowes them to make better prototypes untill they create the resonator they like which meets the standards is ready for production. I read this one a ANSA site some where basicaly word for word but can't find the page now, it might be off the net this time. But heres another site that has the history and similar info as well. Notice the site is from the U.K. and seems to of stop updating in 1998! http://www.ansamarmitte.it/MRKINGL/UK12.HTM "1959 ANSA begins production of sport exhaust systems. In these years competitions are frequent along the streets and in the squares; "ROAR" does not bother the audience and excites the drivers. 1968 The increase of traffic and high performing engines influence the design of the exhaust systems; reducing the sound and increasing the power are primary goals for ANSA. 1970 ANSA’s experience is helpful to popular performance car companies such as FERRARI, LAMBORGHINI, MASERATI, DE TOMASO and BUGATTI. "The noise becomes the sound". 1972 To underline the performances of these cars and direct the market is our daily challenge. But some areas like California begin requiring quieter and cleaner exhaust emissions. 1974 ANSA’s persistance and technology allow us to homologate for the American market the Ferrari 246 and Ferrari Daytona catalytic converter equipped cars without compromising their performances. 1990 The design of exhaust systems has totally changed. Engines exploit most of their potential and only by analysing prarameters such as compression, fluidity, temperatures, frequences, sound levels and gas composition one can obtain performance increase of 5% to 15%. 1996 This is not the end! The research which has transformed the exhaust systems from a simple pipe and silencer to a primary component of the car is working in ANSA. And we are only at the beginning of the next revolution! 1998 ......................" Theres a more detailed lsit of the man who actually started the company which I might of posted the link to elsewhere and can't find now. But the creator was a racer who made his own exhaust and friends like his set up so well they had him make theirs as well whitch eventualy led to him making exhaust for Ferrari then Maserati. And in the '70's, after supplying most Euro auto makers as O.E., branched out into the Asian and U.S. markets to make the Twin Stacks we see for our Z cars now. There was at least from best I can research 3 different S30Z ANSA's, all in both 240Z and 260Z/280Z stock diameter sizes for the inlet side. All made as bolt installation with no welding required. ANSA's dropped off the rader IMO for the most part in the 1980's but most of the older guys form the days when Z cars where new in the 70's remember the sound pretty well, just ask member NissanMaster All people who owned one of heard them befor always have positeve comments in my experience. Now when is my Z gonna be done so I can experience this, "ROAR!" ~Z~

Y0u LUCKY DOG U ! Now thats a rare find! Congradulations I saw you ove Hybridz and thought "amazing". If you ever need some cleaning up / restoration tips just let me know by emailing or posting a few pics. I also should be able to get some NOS little "ANSA" stickers for the chrome section part of it for you for free I you ever need them. WOW, greaaat pick and nice pull ~Z~
  17. Thyanx Blake! Thats what I was looking for. But am I correct, in looking at the ZX scan, that the ZX exits on the right of the car as opposed to the left side as on S30's?
  18. Any diagrams for the S130 280zx? A Cat wants to know if my ANSA Twin Stacks muffler will fit his 1981 280ZX 2+2 on ebay. I like to give him a correct answer, seems like it would be no problem since the ANSA's for the 280ZX's in the old cotologes don't seem much different but they do seem to look more designed for "quieter" operation IMO. ~Z~
  19. Theres an article in this months Dsport on the proper way to test a crank scraper on the Dyno in issue #71 November 2008 in a Mitsu EVO X (10). The car car is their project EVO X. Unfurtantly you have but the mag to read the good but the the bright side is the Italian chik, Miss Ashley Sarto, is HOT ! ! ! http://dragsport.com/issue/2008/1108_tech.shtml ~Z~
  20. Took the test online with 84% score Needed a 80% Got cought speeding, doing "55" in a 35. It was more like 75 but who's counting :paranoid: I know I know, open highway besides the Highway Patrol of course, learned my lesson to say the least. ~Z~ Drive safe! Oh yeah and the ticket was $264 and $50 for the test.
  21. WoW Considering I'm a train buff I know exactly what you mean So I guess that takes the idea of gutting a 4.6 R160 I saw on Ebay and throwing it out the window. Thyanx Alan. ~Z~
  22. Like to know if a R160 Ring and Pinion Gear will swap directly into a R200. If so are there any inherent defencies doing so?
  23. Thats true, but theres a simple recipe to that solution, add more Gas and add more Air. I also like the sound of the L24, nothing beats a tri carb. ~Z~
  24. Righ you are/maybe, I'm sad to see they made no mention of the fact there was a factory released race version which is Z432 namely the Z432 R ! Would of like to see more on the race on the the US and Japan side. But any thing on the Japan would require sone serious in deapth knowledge of not only the basic Japanesse information but the stuff even Alan wouldn't know aswell, which is highly doubtful since he's so well imearsed. But the article, to my point, has the info a "Novicely Learened" S30 enthusiest knows. Although since this be the Z's fisrt real feature in this it seareves as a baseline for the biginner to build upon which is good considering this mag as been doing more indeapth info on the same make of any giving car more and more over time with more details in each new feature like a 57 Chevy BelAir every few months of so based on interviews from different designers, builders and employes each time. This philosophy in a mag of any kind is good. I don't have my Copy on me to see writer is but it would be nice know where he got his info and sources to write the story. Hopefully if given new information and or insight will incourage to write another more detailed article shading new light for us all . Would love to see all things covered including the aftermarket since most our Z's came from the factory as identicle twins with the only options being manual or automatic basicaly :classic: (Pretty much thats the only option you need ) ~Z~
  25. Yep thats the one I didn't even know about this car untill that mag. Is it a ZG or a US Spec Z Mr. K had the nose put on. Thats ok I too thought it was a good read and noticed that the mag did'nt really mention him as the designer which was shocking to say the least. I'll be getting it later today and Borders and Barns and Noble are great places to find this mg and Dsport magizine aswell. I really like the Collector Automibiles monthly feature called car spotter were readers send in pics of cars they find in thier area or on road trips. Z cars seem to turn up a good amount of time aswell ~Z~
