  1. Big Red ANSA Sticker production has begun today as of 5 hours ago. Should arrive home mid next week . Saga NGK continues . . . ~Z~
  2. My bad, let me clarify. Not the ultra rare 2000GT fast back sports car look alike to the 240Z. But instead the "Celica 2000GT" which I believe started out as a Celica 1600GT when that car first came out in the year 1970. Not sure when they started badging the Celica GT with the 2000GT emblems though.
  3. In regards to another car I, well, regard; I happened upon some NOS Ansa tail pipes for a 1975 Toyota Celica 2000GT! For those not aware thats the first year they had the 20R motor and power bulge hood. Essentialy the first true year of the "Celica" 2000GT. Will post pics when arrive. Knowing me I tried to talk myself out of it, but couldn't do it . Now all I have to do is buy a Celica or find someone who already has one .
  4. Yeah. The Colts blew it. That on side kick was on it. Best commercial was the Intel Sad Robot, Dorritos when the boy slaped moms date, the casket Dorritor and the Miller Life Party Singing Voice Effects beer guys.
  5. Just finished the whole photo albume. Where was this at BTW? Love how the had photos of the cars, then the drivers, then all the cars with their drivers. Man that must've been fun to be there.
  6. DON'T BLAME ME DUDE, i'm only 29 years old! My current generation only knows, "I gotta go race", and THAT was cause "The Fast and The Stupidest" ! Honestly I've been into cars all my life, literally ALL my life and suprised I never heard of that movie myself. Dude i'm laughing sooo hard right now and hereI thought I was in the minority. . . I guess I am ! LOL
  7. I aggre. Thats how I try and model the design of my Z, period road race look., all the way down to the 215/60/R14 tire size. Recently came across a movie on Comcast On Demand called GRAND PRIX. A great racing movie staring James Garner. Didn't know "Jim Rockford" was a real race car driver unto a few years ago before that. Love this stuff, that was real racing.
  8. And MotorSportAuto.com is another one.
  9. Called Greyhound last night to take a bus trip from Sacramento, California to Vallejo, California and the automated operator said "due to severe weather conditions some trips have been canceled or delayed". First thing i thought was, "what is she talking about?" . Guess our heavy rain here two days ago didn't fair the rest of ya.
  10. My Bad ! It was something like that . Actually it was about HLS30-104739 . If thats too low for that year then it was HLS30-107390. My photo graphic memory is mis placing a zero but I intentionally remembered the two digits of '73' and '90' , so the number 4 might of been wrong. And im leaning more now to saying it was three 2 digit numbers i did memorize as 10, 73 and 90
  11. Wetlands!? ! Tell me you bought that joint dude.
  12. Thanks guys but change of plans. Just found out, like an hour ago, I won't be moving to Texas. So no rush to buy a new Z. Not tomorrow anyway .
  13. Dude, great photos! Did you take those yourself? I like those rims on that color scheme Z. Never paid much attention to XXR's to now. Your Z definately looks like a road hugger .
  14. Congradulations dude . You must be Really proud. Looks like your on your way to becoming an established icon like the Big Daddy Roth cars!
  15. Welcome . Pretty good group of Z guys in Texas, looks like Texas is the "new" place for Z's
  16. Also incase you didn't know, widen your search to include 71's as some of those are actually 70 's mis titled as 71's. Ask for those vins too.
  17. Found some in Craigslist SF Bay Area and Pomona, Ca. By sure to always ask for vin numbers and let the sellers know that the vin is actually the serial number and why it's important.
  18. As a side note if your oil guage is hoovering around zero it's likely the guage is broken and not the sender. Most folk here will tell that from experience including me . Find a replacement from the many Z forum classifieds or ebay. If seller don't know if the guage works don't buy it. Should take only ten easy minuts to replace. Take out the 4 screws on the center dash/ AC face plate and unplug the light bulbs to it. There are 4 metal clips that those 4 screws go into mounted on tabs behind the face plate, be sure to keep track of those clips and DON'T loose them. Look inside and under the oil guage is one last screw holding the strap up on the guage. Slide guage from hole, unplug it and replace with new guage. Be sure to tuck all the wires to everything out the way of the AC vents so the face plate will fit right. If still not working then ok, it's the sender .
  19. Beautiful find . I agree, the best looking "NEW" Z ever . If your into body kits you should look into the Veilside EC series on Veilside.com, you'll like I'm sure.
  20. Also look into something called MegaSquirt. It's a EMS you can build yourself and program and operate from your laptop. Go to MegaSquirt.com and ask about it on Hybridz.com as they use it alot more than us here for those engines swaps they do. Exactly what ideas you have in mind and how for you wanna go?
  21. Hi bro, whats poppin son! If you wanna keep the stock engine this is the spot.id you wanna drop a RB then Hybridz. That being said there are a few good body kits from MSA aka Motor Sport Auto mainly thier Kaminari body kits. You might find more new current offerings from Japan though by other kit makers as well. Far as flames if its stock it shouldn't have 'em unless it was already modded up. If it runs good as you say than keep that engine and trick it out .
  22. Big Red ANSA sticker decal replicas starts production this Monday and will arrive home about 10 days after that . 8x6.5 inches of coolness . I've enlisted the help of Kats with "Saga NGK" in hopes of finding a contact with Zama or a "higher up" at NGK Japan.
  23. Read that High Plains Raceway thread and thats freakin Cool . So my first guess was right, about $3 million dollars. FIVE- that track your talking about by that rich guy was on Top Gear once I believe, and he was an oil tycoon. Lots of side ways action. Either that or a european guy had the same idea. Didn't realize all the paper work and legal papers you have to do.
  24. LOL No doubt! I was trying to remember the name of that, didn't know he helped build it or there was a thread here. And yeah theres always a complainer about the noise. ok . I'll go read that thread now real quick .
  25. See your point on that. It's all a set up tactic. Theres no standing reference book of cars for these guys to see what to pull over and look for anyway so it's all guess work half the time IMO. They should do something better and bring back the chain gains. That'll reduce labor cost AND crime!
