The carpet kits, I think, are designed so you can easily do it yourself (they're already molded and cut). I would suggest an upholstery shop if you wanted them to provide the mat'l, cut/mold it, and install it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think all you need is a screwdriver, a scraper, maybe some adhesive(?) and a couple of hours.

Front's not finished yet. I have a little sag in the paint on the headlight buckets, so I'm re-doing them. Front air dam is ready to hang; once I finish the buckets. Thanks for the compliment! -
Thanks for the info guys. zacny, the SEM works great; I used it on mine. My problem is that my rear carpet backing has become brittle, and rips/cracks very easily..

I don't know if anybody noticed, but the parade was followed by a pretty famous football game. USC was fantastic... and I'm a Big 10 guy. Before the game, I thought the hated Wolverines (:sick:) were the best team in the country; I was w-r-O-O-Ong.

The fiberglass flares are not perfect, and therefore some gaps exist. From my understanding, here in the States, all of the flares come from the same place... I used very pliable channel rubber, from a commercial rubber distributor. It's very similar to the door-edge guards that can be found at a retail auto parts store; just a better grade. I evaluated with and without, and it was a no-brainer. Without the molding, dirt/rock/chips could get thrown from the tire, through the gaps, and damage the paint... Besides, I think it has a "finished" look with. -

mmagnus, don't bid on it. hmmm, G-nose and IMSA flares... Radical? A little. Is it for me? Not exactly. Abortion? Not in my opinion; it just looks like it's ready to tussle with some vettes and porsches at Road Atlanta, Sebring, Laguna Seca or Mid-Ohio (and THAT'S pretty cool in my book). -

Preparing to "hang" the Motorsport front air dam on my 77. This is the type that replaces the gawd-awful front bumber(Motorsport part 50-1409). Stiff, non plyable fiberglass. Question for those w/ experience with this particular airdam: There is a significant gap where the air dam mates up to the front fender, just under the amber turn indicator. What is the best way to "fill" this void? I've thought about gluing some flat plastic to the underside of the airdam, then filling with something (fiberglass, bondo, etc), then filing/sanding/buffing to shape. However, I'm afraid that whatever I do, it will develop cracks with age. Ideas/experience?

I'm in industrial equipment sales (big ticket CNC machine tools), so I've been all over that scale! Early to mid-90's: I was sure that I'd be able to retire by the time I was 45... and lived like it (country club, Lexus, Saab, lots of pricey travel). All with a stay-at-home Mom in the house. Late 90's: things started to get ugly (While Clinton was still in office... It's not Bush.) 2000 to present: surviving! (good thing the stay-at-home Mom is my alter-ego when it comes to frugality!) Like everyone else, 401K is now a 200.5K.

If this is a current pic, then the car has been well preserved. But seriously, this IS a sports car club. I promise to NEVER post a pic of my mom's 75 710 (or was it 510) wagon. Just because it's a Datsun does not mean it's good.
