  1. There don't appear to be any bad spots on them. Their just dull and dirty. Need to find a set of the 4 screw Z center caps for em too.
  2. Post up on the LED's (pictures, info, etcetera) if you would Dave. The tailight view of my Z is what most people see anyway! hehehe.
  3. I like the way you think! (pay someone else to do it)

Just picked up an old set of the original 14 inch aluminum slots for my Z and they are in need of a good scrubbing. What do you rec polish wise? Any (good) input is appreciated!
  5. I had a similar problem with a mech in Indianapolis with my Maxima he was doing some work on. It took about six months, but I got the car fixed and most of my deposit money back. Hindsight is 20/20, but if it is a big job, make a deposit and pay in installments. If you have the jack, lease the closest billboard to his shop and advertise what a "****" this guy is and list a website where people can read your complaint. Free speech my friend, free speech.
  6. Check the rotor and the points.
  7. Been using Lucas and been quite happy. Support Lucas Oil, and Lucas Oil Stadium, the future home of the Indianapolis Colts!
  8. Just drove mine to Sam's Club (BTW, the Z was not designed for bulk shopping) and smoked a 2001 Mustang GT in the process. Man that is fun! The SOB never saw it coming either. That made it even better!!!
  9. Take your wallet brother! If you want one already done it's gonna be pricey! These cars are getting really popular again. My brother is a professor at a University in Osaka in Japan and he recently sent me an article where wealthy japanese men were buying 240's in the states and having them shipped to Japan to be restored. They like them "A" because they are japanese and "B" because they are relatively easy to work on. Hope you find a gem though.
  10. Didn't even think of syn oil in my Z Carl. Been running Castrol GTX in mine. OBTW thanks for the tip on the wiring harnesses. Got a hold of "onuthin" and ordered both.
  11. Had SU's on my 73 as well. Thinking about putty an electric Holley fuel pump in my 72.
  12. Using those words probably because it has been wrecked.
  13. I didn't think the 73's had an electric fuel pump. I know my 72 doesn't.
  14. Thanks for the information and insight!
  15. Checked VB and they don't. Where is Danny's?
  16. Sounds like the distributor. Did you check the points? I had a similar problem when I tuned up my 72. It turned out that I needed to adjust the points.
  17. Anybody know where I can get a heater fan control knob for a 72 Z? Motorsport said they had one when I ordered it, then apparently they found out they didn't.
  18. bout a 1/4. Guess I'll just replace it for now. They aren't that expensive.
  19. Dude, I'm not. I'll give him $200 if the rims are straight. If tires are included, then that is a different matter and worth more $$. I wasn't trying to be a @!$#.
  20. There was an aftermarket kit to turn Z's into ragtops. They discontinued the sale of it about 3 or 4 years ago.
  21. I'll give you $200 for em!
