Next project

JMT240KGTR

Potentially my next project, going to have a look at it in the next couple of days; fingers crossed. If good, C110 GTR replica is on the cards!

It's a C110 Skyline as known in some parts of the world. Released in Oz as 240K, came in 4 & 2dr versions, L6 powered, v.similar set up to the Z. Released in Japan in '73 and was a GTR varient, S20 engine, triple carbs, flared guards, spoilers etc. Very hard to find a base model 2 door (as above) these days. :)

Looks like it could be an excellent car for a GTR Rep, even a daily runner, but there's a few things that look a bit odd. 1) the centre roof mounted aerial, could be an annoying place for rust to have started. 2) that indicator looks too short to be a stock one, but if could be the angle of the image. Other than being poo-brown it looks good in the image. Let us (or just me) know how it looks in person. and whether or when you get it, then take a billion more pictures. ;)

Z Kid, my 240K cost me $1500NZD ($1300AUD) but you could probably pick up a decent one in OZ for cheaper, hell, mine came over from OZ in July 75 with 11000, when I bought it, it had 88000 Genuine K's on it, almost rust free and I'm the 5th owner and my queries at the Insurance company bought up it's value @ $1400 or around there. Check out this website, look at the very bottom of the page, nice if you've got the moolah http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/24-10-03/ incase you're curious ¥1133000JPY = $14860AUD

Z Kid, Let's just say if this one gets the nod I have a deal with the seller that he'll be given my 4 door sedan as a swap; once I've completed the coupe that is! Yeah Kyteler, I've seen the car in person and the aerial will go, indicator lights aren't original but I've got maybe 20 pairs of replacements so no biggy! It's also had some trim taken off, but alas, I have more spares at home for that! Hopefully I get this one! Cheers

We never got those over here in the USA. I guess the closest thing we have would be the 79 810 coupe. (L24E, IRS, 5 speed, etc.) Kind of looks like a 610/710 (USA spec) with an extended front for the L6 engine. Z cars seem to be so plentiful. Nothing against them, mind you, as I love my 78 280Z. I just really enjoy seeing a nice Datsun that is not a Z, a 510, or a Roadster. I own a 79 810 coupe and a 64 L320 Pickup also.
