It looks like a Scouting pinewood derby car! If it is, it must have done well to be mounted like that. It looks fast too!

Yes, it is a pinewood derby car. I made it when I was 14. Did not compete much, but I did win a ribbon for craftmanship.

Thanks Brian for the pictures of your model collection. They bring back happy memories as I built models all the way up until my first year of college. I still have a lot of models that are finished from my childhood and a lot that are just waiting to be built. I see your movie car row. I remember building the "ghostbusters" caddy. I never built the "back to the future" delorean, but after seeing a real "back to the future" car at Universal Studios in LA, I really wanted to build one. However, I did build the Dukes of hazard "General Lee" charger. The cool thing about that model was that it was the big 1/16 scale and it had a 426 hemi. I don't think any of the real ones had the Hemi. I wish I still had that model.

Thanks you everyone for the comments. K.I.T.T. is my first model at age 9. I am looking for a Charger to turn into the "General Lee". I also think that Lindburg might sell a kit. I will have to look.
