ISO set (4 or 5) of 5-slot aluminum wheels (15x7)

Recommended Posts

I am a forum noob that, after much online searching with no luck, is hoping that the deep and broad experiences available here may have some advice if not answers. I am recent owner of a new (to me) 260Z (1/74 build date) with stock 4x114.3mm wheel hubs. I am on a quest to find a set (4 or 5) of 15x7 slotted mag wheels that look like the attached photo. (16x7 *may* also work.) These were common for these cars at the time, though then typically with a 14-in. diameter. Motorsports in Orange, CA, has a listing for them but no information about IF much less WHEN they may become available.

Any and all suggestions are welcome. Many thanks in advance!

Didn’t Appliance wheels have something similar back in the day?

A number of different manufacturers made the aluminum slot wheels. I have 5 or 6 sets of 14 X 7 wheels, US Indy, Appliance, American Racing, and some with no markings.

Can you send the specs and photos? Are the center caps in good shape? I'm not sure what kind of lug nuts are required. My current Rota wheels use acorn style but my 5-slot wheels on my 71 1200 coupe used capped nuts with straight shafts sized to fit the round wheel holes. Do you have nuts for them? Many thanks

Give me your email address….Ill shoot you some pictures when they were on my Z. I have them in storage. They are a 7-8 out of 10. In very good shape. I have 4. 15x7. Zero offset. They cleared all OEM brake parts perfectly on my 240.

I understand your passion!  Shipping will be expensive. I can give you two shippers in my hometown 28607. I’ll measure and weigh one of the boxes…..you can arrange your own shipping or at least investigate it…..if we make a deal I’ll take them to your shipper and they can ship to you…..shipping will be expensive……just sayn

if this deal falls through, I have a set of 14x7 slots that you can have if you come to Indiana to pick them up.  They were freshly resurfaced by a professional wheel restoration shop and have a coat of clear over them.   They look new in every respect except you would need to find center caps.

Wish I lived closer, I’d take them. I forget how many sets I have. When I first got my race Z I picked up several sets, both 6”, and 7”. The class I ran in required 14” wheels. Hoosier still makes tires, the Street TD, a DOT legal bias ply with tread that works very well in 225/50-14.

They fit well on a Z.

And look just as good on the pavement as they do ten to twelve inches in the air.

87mj,

This deal worked out (shout out to Travel'n Man) I may still be interested for a second set. Where in IN are you? Many thanks

I am located along US30 between Warsaw and Fort Wayne. If you can find US30, the rest is easy.
