240Z Weber Carbs 45 Choking

 

We dont have no flow to the main jets.
We only have idle.
You step on the gas and it dies.
Unless you pump it then it works.
Any ideas?

There are two possibilities:

 

1. Poor sealing resulting in loss of vacuum at head of fuel to lift it up into the passage to the aux venturi.

2. Clogged main jets or jet too small.

When you step on the gas, is that going full throttle from low revs? How does it handle progressively opening the throttle from higher revs?

Let my say first... can't help myself… but emmmm..  SO YOU DO HAVE FLOW!

To your question, i don't have any experience with webers.. and i'm gonna keep it that way..  ?
