Fitting 74 260Z a.c. into a 71 240Z

Featured Replies

Ok, knowing the wealth of information have to ask for thoughts about whether the a.c. unit from a 74 260Z will fit?

I have an opportunity to purchase an entire a.c. unit that includes control panel, blower box. Only things not include is the dash pad and center console. I have till tomorrow to make the call.

Thanks for you input.

There is a HEATING & A/C link on the FORUMS page. There could be some useful info there. Good luck!

I looked at the fan control panel and it is a 4spd fan. That should be factory air.

That was supposed to be "factory or aftermarket". I need some sleep.

Was able to purchase the A/C for $155, original price was $300. Comes with everything include dash harness. Will stuff it away when I get closer.

Do you still need a compressor and bracket? I've got the dealer option one available. The one that sits on the top passenger side of the engine.

Serban, not sure. From whatI know this is everything from the engine to the dash. If I, I will get back with you.
Thank you.

That looks like the under dash stuff mostly, but maybe it's not all pictured, but let me know, I've got a working compressor I pulled off last year.

That picture looks like the setup for my l24 from 73", I can take a gander at it after work today.

Funny it's also caked in oil :P

I think the compressor was painted, but there may be some oil in there to help lubricate the outer housing LOL
