Hello from Georgia, 77 280Z 2+2

Featured Replies

I'm new to the forum because a beautiful 280Z followed me home last weekend. While searching for info I found your wonderful community! I'm looking forward to many hours of research & tinkering to keep this lovely car purring. While I share a couple pictures I already have some questions that someone might answer for me. I noticed extra mounting holes where the data plate is located- might that indicate the plate was replaced with a reproduction?

Welcome. Feel free to drop by the Georgia Z Club page on Facebook. You can find it by the Georgia Z Club link in my signature. Most of us are in the Atlanta area, but there are a few active members scattered around south of the city. Also, consider coming out to Z Nationals (2014 Z Nationals Information). It's one of the bigger Z car gatherings in the Southeast.

That's a good looking car! My '77 has those same extra holes around the engine bay plate. I'm pretty sure that G before the HLS is the symbol for 2+2s. Here it is, http://www.xenons30.com/VIN.html

Here's something every '77 owner should know about, because he has one. ;)

Car looks like it's in great shape, especially for being in the South. I live in Bonaire and work on Robins, where in Middle GA are you?

Hiya, I'm in Sandersville and picked this car up in Byron at the Peach Auto Auction from an owner/dealer out of Macon. So practically neighbors!

Thanks a bunch for the info & links, lots of great info there- stayed up way too late last night checking all that out!

We're having a car get together at Bare Bulb coffee at 96 and Lake Joy tomorrow at 0830. If you're bored, bring the car out.
