Anyone remember this vehicle?

Featured Replies

I was in the market for a new car in 1972, but a Z was outside my budget. I purchased a Datsun 1200 coupe. I kept this car for 14 yrs. and sold it; the buyer drove it away. My boss used to call it a 120-Z.

Z Doc in Roanoke put a Mazda turbo rotary engine in one. It would fly!

Yep, I remeber them. Great little car. There are a couple of guys that race them here. I snapped a couple of photos of one last year at a track meet.

Datsun 1200 I think, my aunt and uncle had two of them.

I had a spare motor when I sold it. The buyer didn't want the engine 'cause he was dropping a rotary in it.

They were popular in Australia in the early seventies and they used to race them a bit like they did with the Suzuki Swift series.

Hard to find the coupe these days.

There's an unrestored one up the street with side stripes and fender mirrors in my neighborhood. Pretty cool little car!
