I searched the forum and its difficult to find pictures with these on fenders.

Has anyone used these as fender mirrors? If so, pics?

Your take on these as fender mirrors.

Short stem I know, but I want to know if this is at least an OK mod to do.

I don't think they would give you the view you desire as fender mirrors - small mirror and short stalk.

I wouldn't put them on your fenders. Simply because this is a prime area where your mirrors can be bumped into. I can't count how many times people have slightly tapped my OEM fender mirrors, whether it was someone simply walking by or working on my car. To avoid damage, the factory fender mirrors are spring loaded. This allows flexibility and play, so that if they are hit, the fender doesn't dent. These mirrors don't seem to have the springs, so I would put them on your door or buy some NOS OEM Fender Mirrors, which are still readily available.

An old friend put fender mirrors on his Z, he was always complaining about adjusting the things and every time he worked on the car they were in the road.

I think those look horrible on the fender, they are not correct. I've seen pictures of Zs with them, and they do not make the car look "jdm" imo.
