This is the rod that broke, the long one on picture, in the hunt, and yes a fab is my next option.........:bulb:

1/4 inch stainless rod = $2.19 per foot, 1 clevice yoke = $1.50, 1 Nylon insert nut = $0.20.......Not having to put a chunk of 4X4 in front of the tire to keep the car in the driveway, PRICELESS.

$299 bucks for something you should be able to reproduce for about $5.00 is nuts, like I said, your car is so highly modified that having the "proper" hand brake rod don't mean a thing.

Let's see. Mods on my Z: GM engine and transmission, GM alternator,GM starter, GM control module.Nissan rear diff,Datsun brake booster,280Z gas tank. Kits to adapt the transplant, popular disc brakes conversion,popular suspension mods, A/C unit ,all from existing vendors.The rest is ALL 1972 240Z........
