Doing laps *incar videos*

I made a video of the Mid Ohio course with speed and time overlaid on the screen, but the average speed turned out to be about 5 MPH, so I deleted it. At least it took 12 minutes to go the 2 mile lap...

I could probably keep up with that!

Does any one have any experience with QSTARZ BT-Q1000eX (10Hz) lap timer? Can it be integrated with the Go -Pro like TommoHawk describes above?

No, but I have just got a Oregon Scientific ATC9K with a G meter and the optional GPS module to do overlay videos, Racerender seems like it should work to do that, will be trying it out in the New Year.

I just use this:

Looks good but for some reason or other phones do not belong in my race car, according to the driver :)

Making fiberglass doors for my Z, what a PITA job, so it's out of action. In the meantime, fastest street S30 at Lakeside. The most testing circuit in the world according to Mick Doohan

To get the speed and track I used Qstarz laptimer with the DashWare program. The only problem is that it is difficult to accurately synchronise with the Gopro video.

If you can look into the aLapRecorderHD application for android. It can record video with GPS or OBD data onscreen, and you can export the video.

That's a nice video. It's also good to see that you still have your original (style) mirror :)

We should find a way to mount the camera somewhere about where the driver's helmet is, to get a more realistic view of the track or road.

Have fun at Bathurst Chris, I'm going to the Nats at Phillip Island this Easter. Plan on Bathurst next year, thanks to your message I am on the mailing list now :)

Problem with that is unpadded hardware anywhere near the driver is frowned upon by the scrutineers. In the middle is a good compramise, like mine in the sig panel below.
