260Z Choke Cables

Featured Replies

There are two openings, one over the other I think, in the firewall between the heater connections and a relay. Which openings is for the choke cables? I haven't been able to find a clear photo of the firewall that the shows the choke cables and firewall grommet.

Thanks,

Fixitman

There is a photo on this site somewhere titled '260z-aclines' that shows the firewall very well. I used it to locate where some of my vac lines, etc are located. It shows the heater hoses run diagonal, then above them, the choke cables, then the top one is where the vacuum line goes through to the heat/ac system.

Hope that helps....

If I can remember, I'll take a picture when I get home.

Mine is just above and to the side of the heater hoses

How does the cable run to the lever? Does it run along side the console wire bundle on the trans tunnel or behind the heater core?

Thanks for the photo.

Thanks for the photos but I need choke cable photos for a 260Z.

Use the green 260z pic above and the asian pic to see how they fit. I would do the crossover for the centre console just before it enters.

Never mind, I just found this pic and it is exactly as I guessed:
