Z's on TV

I saw that show too. In the one race, he gave a Monte Carlo a 10-car lead, and won? Did you notice the cops said they were following a group of 200 (!) street racers? How do they manage to stay 'under the radar?'

That show actually gives some credence to what you see on those F&F movies. They actually do the street racing stuff! (But without the flames coming out of the exhaust pipes.

I noticed on the TV show they said it was all happening at 3 am or so.

By doing it to early in the morning, you have less people and traffic, but the street is still dangerous, compared to a real drag strip. I doubt you could make it safe, with all the people and lamp posts, the curb, cars going wild, etc.

I wager that Detroit is not that Z friendly..

At least not an L series powered Z.

True in general. But we do have some Datsun lovers. I showed my 83 zx and 83 rx7 once.

Right next to the old detroit cars. The owners of the Detroit cars look down on it.

But when people started taking pic asking Q and a crowd gathers around the cars

They knew people like these cars. There is a web site DETROIT DATSUN.

The day i got my 83zx we stumbled on a car show in DETROIT older black guys

i turned in the parking lot to check it out they loved the zx.

So it can go ether way.

I met a black guy that lives not far from me he has a mint 79 slick top zx 40,000 mi

We talked a few times i gave him a tail light lens he was hit in the back.

But then he got it in the side took out the wheel fender and door.

The car sits in his driveway still today.

I have been forcing DATSUNS on the Genreal public of DETROIT.
