Windshield in Atlanta metro?

I called around a bit for windshield price and install price and none seems to want to touch my exotic old car...It is pretty frustrating since satellite online quoted me $300 installed and then the local shop they sub through said they won't touch my car. Does anyone know of a shop around the Atlanta area who one can get the windshields(reproduction I assume) and two will install it in my car?

Contact some restoration shops for referals. These are old school cars and they require more skill than spreading urethane glue. Check the condition of the rubber around the glass to see if that needs replaced at the same time.

Going to give Eddie a call tomorrow. Maybe he can order one andinstallit for me. Itis def going to need a new gasket since I cut the old rotted one out, black dragon has the gasket for 37.99. I have heard of safelite doing it in other parts of the country but the contractor they use around here won't touch it. I am waiting for a callback from bullseye glass

I am in metro Atlanta and for what its worth bought a windshield from Windshields to Go for $120 and picked it up in Norcross. I ordered the weatherstrip from Black Dragon and the trim pieces from Courtesy Nissan. I am attempting the install myself and have put the weatherstrip around the windshield and put the trim in as I thought people said it is easier to do it this way before installing the windshield. The lip on the weatherstrip is not covering the trim in the lower corners properly. I don't know if this will rectify itself when the windshield is in. Post how you make out with Eddie and I'll post when I solve the problem I am having. Good luck.

The windshield will have the tint band at the top and not be OEM without the band. I know some want an exact replica without the tint band, but it is more expensive. If you are ok with the tint band it is not a bad price. Once you order you will have to pick it up at one of their warehouses in the ATL area. For me the Norcross location was closest.

Well I set up an appointment for them to replace the windshield in my wifes toy(1992 VW Cabriolet) which is another windshield that alot of other shops do not want to touch. They are charging 219.80 for the windshield installed and a extra $35 if they have to replace the molding. I asked if there were any other charges that I have seen on other windshield sites (service fee, disposal fee, etc) and she said no so I will be crossing my fingers and if all works out I will order my gasket from MSA and get the glass from them. I read a ton of threads about the windshield install on a Z and it seems if you follow the directions with the dash out it should be ok...wish me luck
