You could put an internal baffle in to 'slant' the thing front to back to gain the Bernoulli effect. That is the reason the TWM model slants front to back, it speeds up the air to the rear. Also I agree with Leon, no good reason to shorten the air horns.

I wonder has anyone ever did air filter for triples out of original air filter cover? That would look awesome.

I believe it's been done by simply baffling off the area leading into to filters with sheetmetal.
