Georgia Enters The 21st Century

Featured Replies

I am off to my local grocery store and I am going to pick up some beer and wine. Not a big deal most of you may think, but this is in Georgia which today, is the first time you can buy such wicked and evil products on a Sunday. Since the beginning of time (at least my time) people could not buy alcohol on a Sunday in Georgia. No more dry Sunday football games after running out on Saturday. Thank you Georgia voters.

I spent 6 mos. in Warner-Robins in the late 90's and remember that no alcohol on Sunday thing. I took two coworkers to Applebees for Mothers Day since they could not be with their families. Imagine a brunch with no mimosas for the ladies. I bet the bass fishing guys are happy.

The restaurants have been able to for quite a while now, its the grocery and liquor store that can also open now too.

That's got to be one long drive from Jersey... ;)

I'm sure it's worth the drive just to get away from New Jersey. LOL

Any of the Georgia guys want to get together some Saturday or Sunday? Maybe a Thur or Fri night? Informal, somewhere in Cumming?

I found that many people aren't able to go or don't want to go to the regular meetings. I go to the meetings except when I'm out of town on business.

By the way, Caffeine & Octane might be another opportunity to meet up.
