Considering that the 350z has driver and passenger front, side and curtain srs airbags the driver was probably fine. Probably like having a go in one of those inflatable bouncy castles.

Looks like the guy that tail gated me on I-95 no pity no sorrow !!!! You may have the money to buy it but you still have to be able to drive it !!!! Most of the people who buy these do not have the same passion for the Z car as we do !!!!!!!!

I agree with Carl on the damage assessment on that car.

Based on the front damage, it was a square hit into something other than a bumper or other car's rear-end. This suggests that the driver t-boned another vehicle. Most often a t-bone accident involves someone running a red light or stop sign. And based on the side damage, it looks as if this car ran a light or sign, t-boned someone else, then got smacked by another oncoming vehicle.

Also, since there are no signs of glass damage, there are no head injuries. Since the cabin is still structurally sound, no leg or other bone damage. Most they could get is a slight headache or stiff neck and some bruises. (I used to go to a lot of insurance auctions and looked at wrecked cars for over 5 years.)

Based on this idea, the driver appears to have been at fault. That driver should suck up the pain and take this as a learning lesson, to either pay attention to what he/she is doing or get driving lessons to learn how to handle a car like this. It's too easy in this country to get a driver's license and any idiot w/ a pulse is capable of doing so.

Since my heart is bigger than my brain... Kmack has proved to me that the driver was ok and at fault... Thanks Kmack for helping me see the big picture!

i heard the license test in japan is crazy hard? take it in a manual car and you take the test on a track? i'd do that

Try getting your licence in singapore. We have a close family friend and it took them 5 trys just for the theory bit, you need to know the fines and potential outcomes of all road traffic offences, then on top of that you pay nearly 100K Aus for a Toyota Corolla

I'm in total agreement with you on licensing tests.

Down in this neck of the woods a half brained irishman can pass the test. Or an inteligent chimp.

All the lessons and testing is done within City/Town boundaries, where the speed limit is 50/60kph, usually in a 4 cylinder buzz box.

The brand new licensed driver can then purchase a powerful car and drive on the open highway where the legal speed limit is generally 100kph.

And the powers that be scratch their heads trying to figure out how to lesson the road toll and stop our youth from self destruction.

Seems simple to me.
