Window roller

Featured Replies

Okay, i need to find out where in the name of god that window roller suppose to go? If someone has pictures please post. I want to put my door panel back on place, needed to remove as i noticed that i missed the roller and the rubber stopper from the bottom of the door.

The roller mounts to the top edge of the outer shell, under the chrome strip with the rubber blade, about 7-8 inches from the back end of the door. You should see a notch on the inside of the door to receive the roller. It's function is to press the window against the fuzzy strip and keep it from rattling around as it goes up or down. The rollers are specific to left and right side doors.

You should also note that there are two notches on each door. If you get a second roller it can be installed in the rearmost notch, "stock" is in the front notch.

Is roller installed horizontal or upright? And i have only one, where can i get more, or can i?

The rollers ARE sided, and though it's angled slightly upwards at the front, the axis of the roller is generally horizontal... i.e. perpendicular to the window pane's vertical movement.

Additionally the clip will not let you mount it any other way, but unfortunately you CAN mount them on the wrong door (i.e. right side on left door, vice versa).
