Featured Replies

I don't have much time and I need to get this car back to storage!

I need the steps to set the idle for both carbs.

Also any tips with fuel Bowls. I would but just su you DVD but I need the car back to storage by Friday night!

Search this site for carb tuning tips. Plenty of previous posts on this topic, anything I could post here would simply be a duplication several times over.

Yea I have tired sreaching some confusing and found alot of post that were not very helpful

Buy a carby balancer and have a flat blade screw driver handy and do some research..

The carb tuning instructions in the factory service manual (FSM) are pretty much the same as on the Ztherapy video. I think some of the FSMs are available online. If you do a search you should be able to find the link to where they are posted.

You will need a carb sync tool, like this Uni-syn http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EDELBROCK-UNI-SYN-Model-A-MULTI-CARB-SYNC-TOOL-1-00-NR_W0QQitemZ220463510762QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Automotive_Tools?hash=item3354a634ea&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 and a long flat blade screwdriver.

By the way, do not try to adjust the idle speed without synchronizing the carbs. Just turning each screw the same apparent distance each time does not work.

yes I do need a carb balance tool! I know there are few kinds out there

I have the 260 FSM and the old old 240z ones which is like 7 book unlike the 260 which all in one book!

Watch these videos as well. This guy does a decent job of explaining SU tuning.

already watched those but thanks!

I got a uni-syn today I think it got it right but the higher RPM balance is little harder for me
