Roberts Competition's Exhaust

Featured Replies

^ Thanks. Too big for my stock 240Z motor. I guess I'll go with my first choice of a Stahl header. Probably a 1 3/8" to 1 1/2" tubing. I have been talking to Jere about what it would take to get a GB going from him.

Mark, I think the 1 3/4" he noted was the dual pipe size, not the header primary size.

Stahl typically offers a 1 5/8" and 1 3/4" primary tube size on their race headers. The dual exhaust setup you guys are discussing is great from a nostalgic point of view but exhaust technology has moved on. This setup will give you less horsepower and torque then a good single 2.5" or 3" exhaust.

You are correct John. I have been talking with Jere Stahl & Keith Thomas (katman) and both recommend the 1 3/8" primaries for a stock 240Z.

Here are some pictures of that exhaust system.

Sorry for the quality, flash on the camera is broken....

If anyone need some measurements, I'll be happy to help!

I found this Clifford header on ebay today.

I'm thinking of connecting to the NOS ANSA resonator and twin stacks I have.

Nice! I'm assuming you won the auction then?

Yes. It helps when they spell it "Clifferd" and only reference Datsun L-series and not 240z :classic:
