Need weight confirmation for 240Z

Featured Replies

By the way, I've call the local Nissan dealer and refer me to Nissan Canada help center. I've told him my story and he said that I should call a Datsun dealer for my problem.................:dead:

So the guys at the Nissan Help Center don't even know what a Datsun is.:stupid:

Probably thinks it's some new Korean brand.

Haha, I really couldn't believe no one knew what a Datsun was anymore when I attempted to register mine...

Anyway, I have an issue of Sports Car Magazine or something that put the car on corner weights and indicated 2200 or something, it might look semi-legit, but it probably would be more beneficial for me to just see if it's written in the 240 manual that I (for some reason) have.

...My 280 has something written somewhere on it like "In the 3000lb weight bracket" or something vague like that, makes me wonder how the car could possibly have packed on so many pounds, it can't be all in the bumpers really... I'm almost sure it has the precise weight on some panel but I've never bothered to check.

Here ya go, jcote75...

I included the whole page rather than the cropped area of the 240Z only for better presentation to the "officials".

I'm sorry that I can't remember the source of this file for proper attribution, but I seem to recall it came from Carl's site. *bow*

Someone has/had this - either on this sight - or on E-Bay.

From the Canadan Sales Brochure..

FWIW,

Thanks everyone for your help.

I will go there this afternoon and see how it goes.

Pull off at a interstate truck weigh station, maybe they will give you docuentation of the weight. At least you won't get billed with an overweight semi

Good news!

Everything is settle. A copy of the sale brochure was enough.
