heater core hoses

Featured Replies

The pre bent hoses in my 72 are failed. The parts house lists NO parts availability on these parts.

Is there somewhere to get these 2 prebent hoses that go to the heater core? Or is there a trick to use normal hose??

Thanks for the help.

I got mine from my Nissan dealer. You can also get them from the usual mail order suspects -- MSA, Black Dragon, etc.

Got mine thru my Nissan dealer as well. That was the easy part. The real fun is under the dash. Actually it wasn't that bad. It is pretty tight in there and the job is a little time consuming.Since you are replacing the hoses make sure and get the grommets where they go thru the firewall as well. I am sure they are toast also. Hope this helps.:)

Might as well replace the valve too while you are in there. You don't want to do that job a second time.

I bought mine through MSA and they were genuine Nissan parts. Took alot of grunting and dropping screwdrivers to get them on under the dash though.

For me, getting the hoses from MSA was the good news.

Getting the installation bill from my mechanic was the bad news.

simple directions: ..take the passender seat out.... lay on your back with your head and arms crammed in footwell with your legs on rear deck...after an hour or so, you'll be done :)
