Looks like Nissan have gone a little retro with the 350Z. They've restyled the bonnet (hood) with a 240z-esque bulge.

AH ok. I stopped reading that thread. Never noticed it before I saw an ad for it.

Does it serve any purpose or just styling?

New 07 motor requires the hood be modded. Car has 2 intakes & the air plenum is taller.

Since everything else in the ad is metric, I am going to take a wild guess and presume that the 0 - 100 time is kilometers per hour. Otherwise that is one amazing car...

Yes, it would take at least 700rwhp to get to 100mph in under 6 seconds.
