My local fireworks show was almost canceled due to the extreme drought but they got smart and realized things would be better with a controlled professional show than a bunch of people shooting stuff off at home.

Some idiot caught a local apartment building on fire with fireworks in Indy today...

Tell me about it. Its felt like Seattle here for a long time now. Its supposed to storm later today, but I sure hope not. I got plans to go to the lake and then go to an Independence day festival later. I may enter my Z in the car show they have going on if I'm back in time. Yestrday I drove to Missouri to buy some good fireworks. Happy 231st USA!
