Back from paint

Featured Replies

Isn't she beautiful. After a year and a half, my Z is back home. Now all I have to do is put her back together, that should take a couple of weeks (ha ha).

congrats! I remember when I got mine back from the paint shop. From this point forward you get to put your car back together!!

Thats a good feeling . I remember when we finished the painting. From now on it is reassembly and all the parts will be clean going back, or should be . LOL

Unable to enlarge them yet :( From what I can tell from the small pics, looks like whoever painted your Z did a really good job :) Congrats.

It seems like they haven't been approved yet. BUT, the thumbnails look sweet, Rick

There right on this sites home page under latest galleries. Scroll down, you'll see them. just can't enlarge them yet till they get approval. :disappoin

Just checked the thumbs--looking good! Just caught the whole "year and a half" thing...yikes! Is that typical? What other work did they have to do?

Steve

Congrats! All the time, sweat, bux & cuss words are forgotten when you get your Z put back together! At least that's how it was for me! Keep the pics coming!

Two of the many greatest moments in owning a Z car. Getting it back from a fresh restore and driving it for the first time after that restore. Congrats!!!

Thanks for all the kind words. The reason it took so long was not body work, but the shop belongs to a buddy of mine who gave me a deal. So he only got to it when he had extra time. Plus, I had the whole car media plasted with walnuts. The original orange (918) was burried underneath three different colors. I purchased the car from the original owner. He told me with every different girlfriend he changed the color of his Z. It had set for many years, the nice thing is that the engine is the original and all the parts were in really good shape and all there. Oh yeah, no rust, I apologize to everyone that doesn't live in California, I just lucked out on a great find. Rick.
