Had to ship mine from TN... and, well, anybody who saw the auction on e-bay knows how much I paid for it LOL

Nice Z sure wish I would have searched a little harder too !!!! But when you get the ZFever !!!!!! That's it !!!! Good luck !!!! and Enjoy the Ride !!!!!!!!!!!!

Grantman,

Looks like you done good buddy! as they say, good things come to those who wait. Give us some more details on the car, mileage, interior conditions, etc. It looks like it might have a newer paint job too. Looks like a steal for $2,700.

Congrats,

Marty

Congrat's, it looks great, particularly the interior, is that original as well? something like that would be worth $15,000 to $20,000 where I come from ($6,700 - $8,900USD) well done.

Your choke and throttle handles dont look quite like mine.. did they produce all of the center plastic bits in that shape? And if so, why the hell do I have a different looking one?!

baddog - the guy i bought it from says they are the original seats, they have just been re-upholstered. Ill have to find out for certain.

ivan - as far as i know everything is original inside (except for my stereo setup and the wheel). all the electrical works (cept the clock) including the rear defroster.

alfadog - i dont know if they changed anything in the console for the Series II or not. If yours is a Series II, then it very well may be that things changed between my Series I and your Series II. If uve got a Series I let me know...i would like to find out if its my car or your car thats different. Also, the guy bashed up the bumper and grill with the tow hitch of his truck. He was backing out of the garage and forgot about the Z (how could he???) and the hitch just drove the bumper back into the grill. No body damage (cept the bumper and grill of course) because the truck never hit the car, only the tow-hitch hit.

marty - the car has 30k on a rebuilt engine (original) and still has the original 4-speed. The paint job is only 1 month old, the receipt shows a $900 paint job. Everything on the interior is stock (cept the wheel) and in pristine condition, it just has a half-dash cover. I have the original wheel from my old Z and plane to recondition is and stick it in there.

Thats all i can think of for now, just post any more questions...

Weh, silly me, I swear I had something that looked different to that. Turns out to look just the same hehe

Wow, you really did score... new paint, reconditioned engine, eerghh thats too good to be true

Well done... well done indeed

The dead giveaway on my seats is the reclining mechanism, a lever. I think the original seats had a rotating knob :)

actually the 72 and 73 models did have a lever for reclining...only 70-71 has the knob.

Hmmm that's what I get for going by the sales brochure: earlier model year pictures LOL. Maybe they *are* original... they're still not comfortable for anything but short drives

Mine have knobs also, but they're on the outside of the seats so perhaps somebody has swapped them around at one stage?

They dont work either...

heres a better shot of the car with better lighting...it really shows the redness of the paint.
