Well after a five month search I found and bought a 1970 240 (HLS300 5023)

I found it in a garage and had been sitting for 5 years. The previous owner was a young doctor, he had put it storage in order to go back to school. He bought it as a project car to restore but ran out of time not $$. He had done a lot to it prior to putting it in storage. New radiator, new seat kit, new vinyl kit, new wiring harness, new header and exhaust, K&N filters, new carpet, 5 speed conversion, and more. No cracks in the dash and minimal rust.

I transported it home on a trailer, drained the fuel tank, vacuumed the fuel lines, dump the bowls, put a new fuel filter on, and dropped in a red top battery. It cranked up on the fourth try, dumped the oil and put a new set of plugs in. Motor runs great but, all the hydraulic are shot.

Next I placed an order to MS; new master, new wheel cylinders, new clutch master, new slave, SS hydraulic lines, brake hardware kits, new shoes and pads, electronic distributor, a set of silver rewinds. I order tires too, 215/55 15 Kumos.

I hope to be rolling by Z fest, I just wanted to thank everyone on the forum for their help. I posted some before pics on the member’s gallery, I have a long way to go.

Also, It sounds like you are addressing the critical systems and making things right straight away, instead of waiting for something to go wrong. Excellent. Hope you get it all together in time for the Fest.

Enjoy!

Ok! I finally figured it out! Hey there Capt! Nice car. Hope to see you at Z-Fest regardless. My Z won't be finished in time, so don't not come because you don't have a car.

Thanks for the welcome, I have Zbug bad and its chewing on my wallet, I posted some shot of my new 7X15 rewinds and 215/55-15 Kumo's on my member photos.
