Large White Rectangle

Featured Replies

Is it just me or does anybody else have a large white rectangle blocking view of a good chunk of the home page? This seems to be covering the left half of the newest forum topics down to about half the list. I guess I'll try shutting down and reconnecting. Gary

Okay, it's not just my work computer, tried one in another department and still have the problem. It shrinks if I make text size smaller, but doesn't go away. Also, it doesn't seem to be affected by changing screen resolution. Also doesn't seem to show up except on the home page. Help!

Gary:

I have been having the same issue this evening. For me it is also affecting the forum pages (I have the same white rectangle between the left collumn and the Posts), it scrunches up the posts so they are narrower and longer than normal.

I also noticed tha the "Donations" block on the Home page is wider that the rest of the left collumn (it extends into the "white rectangle").

I was beginning to think my computer was hosed.

Yeah, that was what I was getting with the wider donations block. Now that I am home things are back to normal. Guess I'll have to see if its the same at work in the a.m. Has yours cleared up Bambi?

Welcome to my world!

On the front page the two columns on the sides block part of the center, and pushes stuff all the way down.

Let me see if I can upload a pic.

upgrading to IE6 cured it for me.

It was the donations banner on mine that was blocking out half the page. In IE6 it is showing OK now.

I've been using IE6 for 3 years (came with the computer), the issue only cropped up for me today, and only on this website.

Has happened to me a few times I used refresh before and that fixed the problem. I first noticed it on a MAC at Uni and thought it was a Mac issue but obviouly not.

As Carl says comes and goes.

Must be a problem with a particular item not loading correctly and stuffing up the page layout.

Just hit the refresh button and it should fix it. :classic:

i had the problem on my second computer. it seemed to me that large text and a too small resolution was the problem. so try making you computer resolution 1024*768 instead of 800*600. worked for me.

Tom.
