Wheel Weights

Featured Replies

This thread will serve to let everyone know what different wheels that fit on our Z cars weigh. I will start it off with the three that I have personally checked. Future people should please include the weight (w/o a tire of course), size (i.e. 14", 15", etc) and a picture of the wheel for reference.

This is the Dished Mag that many of the 240Z cars have/had on them.

I have only seen a couple of these sets and they went for over $300 on eBay late last year. Very cool in my opinion, but a bit heavy for racing.

Without specific manufacturer information, width of wheel, backspace, and offset information on each wheel pictures or posted by everyone, this thread is not going to be of much real benefit.

The "Dished Mag that many of the 240Z cars have/had...." were not all made by the same manufacturer. Western, Appliance, and Anson were just a few of the companies that made wheels used by USA Nissan dealers on 240Z's.

Hey, it's still a good idea though. Just pop in the additional info if you could, Allan. It might also help if you could do a quick conversion to kg, seeing as some places outside the US use the metric system nowadays.

I wonder how much the stock steel wheels weigh...

bambi - Good point. I'm working on getting the additional info and posting it.

alfa - Another good point. Done! :)

Texasz, could you also put the width of the "dished mag" I have 7" and 4.5" and like Bambi said there were different manufacturers so maybe we could add that info also.

Unknown manufacturer - turbine wheel, 14" x 7" - 17 lbs w/o tire

mperdue, can you tell if these have a name on them if you still have them?

Just an idea here. What about setting up a gallery page with each wheel pictured and then the spec's put into the picture title. It would be easier to search.

Kmack, I have the same turbine wheels you pictured . I have looked but there is no name on mine. There are two stiles with the same spacing of the fins . Mine are like the ones shown with the fins going all the way to the vary center. Gary
