wakefield no speed limit day

Featured Replies

HI there. to everyone in NSW

ive booked wakefield park for tuesday 7th sept for a "no speed limit" day. basically a day designed to explore the limits of your car in a safe environment.

maximum around 35 cars or so.

I have forms with more info but i can only scan them as tif files so i cant upload them. alternatively the sydney z car club website should have details soon

PM me if your interested....

No fair, you Sydney blokes are going to know that track back to front for the 2005 National's sprint ;)

Well the transporter is being redecorated at the moment, updating the kitchen, adding a spa bath. The usual facilities Datsun owners take for granted when travelling. Don't know if it will be finished in September :)

I am most likely heading out there this monday for a 'cars only' practice day.

Track was recently cleaned up for the GTP/Nations cup round this weekend.

naaah, itll pretty much be a 100 bucks regardless, the price will go down if we get over 32 cars, 35 is the limit (which we should get pretty easily) where the cost should go down to 80 bucks.....

yeah you missed a good day, im waiting on a cd full of pix which ill upload when i get them. no times really, most of had passengers on board and were out for more 'fun' than times.

everything was great until i drove home. i changed back to my road tyres i had a mate 'do up' my wheel nuts. the front left wheel came completely off the car at 70kph. my 600 dollar simmons wheel proceeded to rip apart my front guard, bounce, smash the rear guard, run flat out into a parked car and smashed its tail llight and rear guard. It then traveled along the grass, turned right and smashed into my now stationary car door.

luckily the wheel nuts all fell off within a few metres of each other.

so im left with a smashed front and rear guard, a dented door, "modified" front left suspension and a bill for the other guys car. the rim seems ok.

moral of the story: Even if you have schumachers pit crew if its your car, you do the wheel nuts up.
