I am including my attempt to sell on ebay. Its a very detailed description. $1500 or best offer. 144k actual miles. Orange exterior. Nice Black Interior. Manual tranny. 2.4 liter inline 6 cylinder engine in running condition. I am out of town next week, but will be checking email after that.

Vehicle Description

1972 Datsun 240Z. I purchased this car last fall to play around with. I have 4 classic Z cars, and wanted to fix at least one or two up, and possibly use the others for parts. I have run out of time and energy for such a project, and feel bad keeping these cars from someone who might drive them. This car is probably in the best shape, runs very strong, and has a decent interior/exterior. Feel free to call 703-598-1744 with any questions, or to take a look or test drive. I can deliver anywhere on the East Coast for a reasonable delivery fee. Title is in hand

I haven't spent much time with this car, so if you are concerned with something I have left out, don't assume anything. I tried to include as much info as possible, but will have to go check the car out and get back to you if I don't know something. Don't be afraid to ask questions. I have lots more pics if you want to see more. Email me

Vehicle Condition

I will try to give as detailed of a description as I can:

Exterior: Paint is ok, There is some cracking in the body. Very limited rust, if any. There is some underbody rust, as shown in pics. The only thing keeping this off the road is the connection between the engine frame rail and the body on the passenger side. Seems to me that this wouldn't be a big deal to fix if you knew what you were doing. I don't have the impetus to find out what it would cost, or how difficult it would be. The rail is basically disconnected from the body, and makes driving impossible. The car pulls hard during braking, and is difficult to steer. Other than this prob, it is completely road ready. Again, see pics of the disconnection.

Interior: Very good shape. Leather seats look new. Trunk area in fairly good shape. Gauges work as shown in pics. Carpet is decent. Headliner, door liners are in excellent shape.

Tires: Pretty good shape

Drivetrain: Engine is very strong, and runs pretty well, as far as I can tell. Carbs seem in good shape, tuned, and are prob the original hitachis. Tranny seems to shift fine. Clutch picks right up. Sunspension seems ok, but I haven't had it on the road much.

Its Fast
