These seats are from a 260Z. They look like they offer far better lateral support then the original seats in my 240Z. Are these seats stock for a 260Z or an after market add on? Thanks !

Hello friends, I want to show you my dash. 2 years ago my 240Z's restoration was completed,at that time my dash was new from the factory but it was 1972-1973 style as you know. I liked this new dash, but I was not satisfied very much.Because the hole avobe hazard switch was SO big and there was a cross marking dent for decal for hazard switch.I want my dash to look as earliest style for 1969-1970. I asked Mr.NISHI (Mr.Alan Thomas knows him well and sometimes Alan mentioned about him here). I want to call Mr.NISHI "DOCTOR of cosmetic surgery".Does it make sense?(MY english is bad so I am wondering) Any way he did a great job for my dash as looked exactly 1969-1970 sty…

I decided to gut the interior in my zed, so I could POR 15 everything. Anyway when I took the heater assembly out. I found it was being occupied by mice at one point. Anyway everything was stuffed with grass. and I guess the moisture rotted most of the metal away. I was wondering which years of zed heater assemblies are interchangable. I SHOULD HAVE PROBABLY MENTIONED THAT I HAVE A 1970 240Z WITH NO AIR. I HAVE BEEN SNOOPING AROUND, AND FROM WHAT I HAVE GATHERED THE HEATING IS THE SAME UNTIL 73, CAN ANYBODY CONFIRM THIS. IS THE LATER VACUUM CONTROLLED TYPE SUPERIOR IN DESIGN, IF SO, IS IT COMPATIBLE WITH THE EARLIER SETUP. THANKS

Another of those never seen in the U.S. items. The parking light switch that mounts on the early 240 console (70 to 71) which operates the separate right and left parking lights (actually that extra bulb in the tail light, and I presume also on the front light), is an enigma to me. I've heard what it does, but I've not located a picture or anyone that can describe it. If any of you Aussies or U.K. folk have a picture, or better yet a working spare that you would sell, let me know, I'll pay the shipping. Thanks in advance.

I've bought a new carpet kit as well as new diamond vinyl panels for my 240Z. While I have the old ones stripped out, what would be the best material to use in place of the jute padding to create a moisture barrier as well as sound deadening?

So I am going to change them out. I found where they go and how they plug in. I cheated a bit and took a spare guage I had lying around to get the bulb size. Problem, I can only visually match it because there is no part no, and none of the part stores have it in their books or computers. Does anyone know which bulb my guages take?

Vinyl preservation, I am frequently asked what I use on my 1970 240Zs original dash, original door panels, and original vinyl quilted material so thought I would share it. I have seen and heard of a lot of ways and different products that are suppose to protect the vinyl surfaces in cars. None of them seamed to work well for me. Then I stumbled upon Passier, Lederbalsam, a fine leather dressing made in Germany. This stuff is great, clean the area with a damp cloth, then liberally apply the Lederbalsam, leave it on overnight. The following day wipe off the excesses. When I bought my car from the original owner about 3 years ago the dash was uncracked, but very hard an…

Any recomendations regarding seat covers and ease of fitting? In Australia one would go to an upholstererand have covers made and fitted at about $250 Aus a pair. The USA covers cost about $200 US a pair + shipping and are closer to original? Any ideas Nick
