targa tassie photos
Other aussies may have caught this, but there was a doco on channel ten today at 2:30pm on this years targa tasmania rally. Had a squiz at their site and managed to find a couple photos of competing zeds. Linkage to follow: uphill shot side on straight on Check out their site for some more great photos of classic cars. On another note, I might have a go in a year or three in my 260, or the old mans porsche 914 (damn that thing turns)

What kind of fundraiser merchandise would you buy?
what about framed pics of members rides, or pics that can be framed. Ask members to donate their pics and get em 'blown up' or whatever you'd have to do.

That classic revival 250GTo is awesome! Now if only I had a spare $25k and a spare zed.

slogan
shize, i forget this post for a few days and now i have to make like 15 shirts so i can use all the slogans. =D oh well Oh yeah, I just thought of a take on what someone here has: Commodores( hehe or CommoNdores ) in the mirror are slower than they appear. Falcons in the mirror are slower than they appear. (Aussies will understand just how dangerous it could be to be wearing that)

slogan
I'm thinking making some Zed shirts for myself, can anyone think of a good zed slogan? Doug

What's our club name?!
May I suggest that a short email be sent to all members informing if this important vote and that they should visit the site to have their say. Some may not have visited for a little while, or go straight to the forums without seeing the main page. Just a thought Doug

Headlight covers
The only ones I have ever seen for sale here in Oz were similar to the $150 ones you mentioned, fit was cruddy and they had these little fiddly brackets that didn't look to strong. Matter of fact I now recall talking to a guy about them some time ago about some for my 260. I have his number somewhere, I'll call him and see if he knows a brand that is good. Will get back to this thread with an answer. Doug

v-10 Z
I know of a guy who has what he calls the 630Zed. Its a 260 with a 6.3litre speedway motor and Toyota hilux 4WD running gear under it. Its look like a mean beast and goes like $^!# from a shanghai! By the time he gets the pedal to the floor hes already there!!

Speaking of models, does anyone know where in Oz I would be able to get a zed modelkit, dealers, big model/hobby shops? Suggestions appreciated. Oh and in Vic if that helps. Doug

bonnet vents and AC
hmmmmm, I just had a thought, would it be feasable to put 'shutters' on there that I could close in rain and leave open when dry? Now, if I can only rig up a system to open and close from in the car I'd be set!!

badges
thanks 2mzs, gives me more of an idea what im looking for, the oz models seem to have a '260Z' emblem on the fron quarters, this sounds as thought its different to the us models. anyway thanks

bonnet vents and AC
thanks alot for your replies, it is a carburetted (sp?) car, no emission crap on it. it gets in before the emission regs by 2 months. 2mz's by 'put a set on', do you mean just cut a hole and stick 'em in or? this sounds interesting, if you wouldn't mind giving me some more info... thanx Doug

bonnet vents and AC
hey there, I have a zed bonnet with no vents in it, but I'm told Zeds that had AC had vents to release extra heat buildup. Firstly, is this so? And if it is, will I have any problems running a 'plain' bonnet? Thanks

Steering Wheel Question
I have a 'wooden' 240 wheel in my zed, they look really nice but I have also noticed how they are a bit diffulcult at times. But I'll keep it anyway, since its an antique an all

i almost cried (well sorta)
Yesterday I was going to a mates to check out his 260 when I saw what looked like a -previosly- spotless orange/gold 260 that had been T-boned on the drivers side, it was on a trailer going the other way. I considered turning around but my old man wouldn't hear of it. ( hes into VW's ) <end mindless time filling drivel> now let us all lower heads and pray for this unfortunate Zed........

Sport Z magazine
Just like to add another $0.02 I'm 18 this april and my 260 is my first car. ( Pretty sweet huh? Jealous? ) But I do come from a motorsport background, old man has been off road racing and rallying for about a 100 years . Not that I'd ever destroy a Zed by putting a fatass rollcage in it.....
