I should have it down to 2000lbs, and 500hp that makes 4lbs per hp! That is better than the ferrari's. I can't wait like you said It will be a blast!!! and I am using the jtr kit and I'm going to place it the recomended distance from the firewall and get it as low as possible! I am also moving the battery in back next to the fuel cell so that should help a bit more! keep in mind i'm a 20yr old college student, working fulltime and taking 17 credit hours, its going to take me awhile just to afford to get the body completly done though! (hints the signature, i'm not kidding when I say send me money!!!

I have recently started to practice for racing my 240z. I stumbled on some really great websites that show and tell you so tips on how to race, steer, brake, etc.. I have read them all and can't wait to get off work to go try a few. hope these sites help!! http://www.turnfast.com/ http://www.tcsracing.org/Tips.htm
  11. the guy that media blasted one of mine did take out some bondo, and not to mention my back window!
  12. my 72 had the original primer and paint and also had a poorly done coat over it. The poor one some guy did and it was bad, but I razor bladed the whole car to original color, then wire wheeled the whole thing to bare metal. If you do it this way have fun I shall never do this again took forever and 4 million wire brushes. I would find some place and have it media blasted, I think it is about as cheap when you figure your time and money for wire wheels, and from what I have seen it does a way better job.

Need alittle help i just bought another '72 240z it has been sitting for 20 year in a garage. it turns over very well, i changed all the fluids, it is getting gas but no spark. i pulled the coil wire off and there is no spark coming from the coil to the distributer what does everyone think i haven't had time to to get a voltometer and check to see if power is getting to the coil even but I will. what do you guys think has this happened to anyone else? i have to get it running by this weekend or else I have to drive about 150 miles to get a trailer and back again. Thanks guys i'm in a bit of a bind!

that is a '67 my dad and I restored a '67 kinda like that now he drives it mainly, man they are fast!! nice car
  22. I would prob be in! do you have any pics we can see?
  23. My Z is getting a 350sbc put in it with about 500hp, and I decided to go with the fuel cell, if I were you I would do that also. and get rid of all the rubber hoses. if your going to have that many horsies from that engine you will need an electric fuel pump/regulator to get max performance and I would buy the cell with the sending unit in it already. my 2 cents.

the dry ice trick worked well for me or even waiting till it was winter and letting my car sit out and get cold. it seemed to chip off better and the tar mess wasn't as sticky as it was with a heat gun!
