Yeah if i had a guess there about the same size as a C110. I'll get the chassis prefix correct one day . So it was a pretty accurate replica with the flares cool indeed. I had always seen them with them on at both ends you see. It was definately missing something in the chassis prefix must have been KGC10 as after reading down the article it said it was a GT and a price of only $25 - $30k would agree with that . I liked it but that's for sure the interior was nice and i could see it begging me to take it for a drive. :cheeky:

It was at the Melbourne motor show under the shannons Auctions out the front section of the exhibition centre for those who went. Infact they were next to each other seperated by about 10ft where a door was. It was truly great to see and I really enjoyed it only flaw with it was that the front didn't have the overflares only the back. It had the GTR badge which had my friends/friend fooled but I pointed out it was a GT and only a replica ;-). I believe you are correct I do remember telling him the GTR has the S20 and that this car was only KPC10 not KPGC10. He liked Dattos . That was rumoured to go for around $25 - $30k. For a replica mind you and they said it was the only known of 1 in Australia but at www.c-red.com.au i think that's right they have one for sale . So not the only 1. But yeah back on topic it was really good to see one in person there a bit bigger than i thought they would be. Even a little kid yelled out skyline as i came past I didn't take any photos as I only had my mobilephone camera and didn't realise till recently it actually took decent photo's when you upload them to your PC. Ah well I won't forget it for a while anyway. :classic:
  3. Now now it's not like that at all infact quite the opposite by bringing your car and seeing it's current condition with what it could/can/will be it will give you insentive or inspiration to keep at it. Also keep in mind that these guys have been there done that so they can tell you what not to do and what to do who to see and who not to see . I remember when my unrestored project was sitting in a garage there would be times i'd wonder why i was bothering it would just take 1 great Z to drive by and i'd be full of ideas and motivation. PS: Mine ain't that bad .

I saw this car in person and it's in great condition maybe one small dent i saw but that was it. Dash interior and exterior all excellent there was also a KPC10 there nice in deed or is it KPHC10? It was the GT version anyway
  5. Yeah i noticed you had the same thing going and we tried to keep our URL's in line so we could be the same sort of thing just in different states. I've seen your new layout very neat indeed good work.
  6. Why don't you try Photoshop for changing the color of your car that can give you an idea maybe not a great idea but an idea.
  7. From your selection i chose red for obvious reasons but i agree with 2manyZs I like that shade of blue looks great on Z's. I think i'd like either that color or bright yellow if I was to paint my Z any color other than Red. Green can look cool also
  8. Not to worry we just want to get started really show off some pics of the day and get others interested and go from there. for those who may not have noticed any change at the site I tried resetting the server cache but i just tried the site at Uni and it was showing the older version so http://viczcar.com shows the latest page and when the server comes around and clears the cache should be back to normal. :classic:
  9. Thanks heaps for the input, I hadn't even thought that far ahead yet. I'm just hoping to get decent numbers for the weekend and to get some nice cars also down there. I've definately seen some good cars that are likely to show up some i feel even better than my own :cheeky: . I'm open to all suggestions as this is a project that was started by me and 2 others so far we are financing things and we were gonna be a small group but it's become alot more than that :classic: . I'm not complaining the more the merrier just have to work out time for it working part time studying full time it might get a bit much but I like a challenge. Are you in Melbourne? I think you are can't remember for sure though.
  10. that's just me playing around. No worries your more than welcome to attend from the looks of it should have some nice looking Z's coming along. :cheeky:
  11. Hello guys I've been a busy little boy getting my site up to scratch and ready for now. We have decided to start a register for early Z's in the Victoria / Melbourne Area (That's in Australia for the Yanks). The scheduled meet up is on the 04/04/04 next week on the Sunday probably around lunch time. I will post final details this weekend and get it sorted so you can all plan around it . Anyway this is to coinside with the wazcar.com registry and hence is called viczcar http://www.viczcar.com Now I would like to clear a few things up before anyone asks first of all this is in no way to seperate us from this forum we all love this forum . Second we are not trying to distance or selves from the NDSOC here simply just getting some early Z's together and getting people to know each other and share information etc.. I recently joined the NDSOC they haven't sent me any confirmation yet but i look forward to being a part of their group. SO if you wanna come along have some fun see some nice Z's in the area take photos , have a BBQ or whatever join up by sending me an email or joining the forum page and I will email everyone out the details and post them soon on here and on my site.
  12. I didn't see your 1200 coupe before i love your BRE paint scheme excellent . What is your engine specs and how does it go on the track against some of those other cars?
  13. Tell your boss you'll buy it . I've always wanted to drive one myself , never driven a convertible myslef :disappoin . I'm not a big fan of a 240k in stock form but I do like the KPGC110 and C10's. So if you guys all dress yours into replicas i'll be happy . Oh and with Watanabe's on aswell :classic: . BTW C110 GTR those Rover V8's were a popular swap in Z cars also . I don't know much about them apparently there a good motor but I prefer an L-Engine. I guess it depends on what your trying to achieve with the car :cheeky: .

The sound system could definately be draining power. I had installed a system in my car recently and was driving one night with the headlights, heater and system going and the car almost died. I had this problem before with a thermo fan kit in a Z and knew what was going on. Luckily I found out the belt to my alternator was just too slack and obviously slipping so i tightened her up and no problems since. These alternators are not the best they only crank out like 60amps. It would be a good idea to upgrade to an internally regulating alternator from a ZX. The ZX had all the power options so it's alternator produces more amps and shouldn't have any problems handling the extra power demands. Gav.

  21. Keep in mind a 280c L28 has a less aggressive camshaft profile. But all in all your point is quite valid .
  22. Now that's a clean set up on the Blue 260z. Gotta love it but I wonder what the pro's of a twin turbo over a single turbo really are? I've always thought that it would reduce lag as the turbo's are generally smaller so they spool quicker, then you have the heat shared over two turbo's. However I can't see anything else except that it would cost alot more for two turbo's and setting them up. Can anyone suggest anything else that would be an advantage over using a single turbo?
