  1. Just a few minutes to dig around on the firewall…… Breath of relief, tunnel and firewall look almost perfect under the heater core….
  2. It is difficult to determine true intentions of comments, sarcasm, etc…. This is exact reason I’m posting here on this site to avoid some of the peanut gallery…. It’s all good here, bring it on …. I hadn’t noticed the lines on my grandsons lips…. Way more dust in the air then I intended.
  3. Had time to strip “tar mat” off passenger floor today, some rust, couple of holes in normal places. Couple normal rusty places without rust. I planned on replacing/repairing frame rails, but may try to patch damaged spots to save original floors.
  4. The “stitches” are the dust from wiping off the ash tray then using a tooth brush to clean the item……. You been around long enough to know red dot……. …… Hope your day gets better…. David
  5. Better picture of firewall vin stamp, proper inspection lid, and a small example of needed parts…… But my “part doner car” 740 is showing great potential. Red dot mirror, radio, console, perfect fuse box,and ashtray dash wiring harness!!!. Much needed parts for 51
  6. I’ve read the rebuild thread from 6-7 years back with interest….. of hs30-00051 Are there current pictures to drool over somewhere?
  7. I’ve seen 4 names associated with it, doing searches online of the specific vin #…… It’s basically been in this state of disrepair for at least 30 years….. interesting list of comments on BAT back in 2013ish. I’m Assuming it was flipped over and over…. No one having the passion to make it right.
  8. Even in October 69 the wiring was in place for an electric fuel pump install.
  9. Removing damaged fuel tank today, evaluating any rear fender damage, rust or otherwise…. IMG_7218.MOV IMG_7218.MOV IMG_7218.MOV
  10. It is the somewhat infamous vin 51 car that went through BAT back in 2013 or so…. yes , a shell, with correct dates glass, and engine block. Will definitely be looking for a few items. But fortunately, I have a couple of doner cars…
  11. Plans are to dustless blast, and evaluate. Current visible issues are rear valance, and “slam plate”. Slight impact in front at some point has crinkled the radiator support structure. I think it can be straightened out for cosmetic reasons ….if not, I have to round up some parts. Frame rails have taken some abuse over the years….. repair or replace yet to be determined……
  12. Hatch in better shape then expected under gasket…..some rust, but not too bad.
  13. Having been declared in 1995 as “under restoration” #51 has sat quietly waiting for someone to put her back together., I thought I’d share my sure to be slow resto project……good, the bad, and the ugly. Pulling a clear glass, 09/69 dated rear hatch glass from the clutches of a dry rotted hard gasket isn’t for the faint of heart…. Trusty hammer, screw driver……😃
  14. I to have “heard” for many years of the increased flow of the n36 “260z” and the n33 “73-240z” intakes. It’s quite visually obvious looking into the carb side that there is a straighter path for a couple of cylinders. If I remember correctly you can swap the longer carb mounting studs from the n46 onto the n33/36 and retain the thicker isolater. David
  15. Would all these markets all be RHD?
  16. Just bought one……. I’ve liked the subtle appearance of those spoilers….. Found a euro spoiler earlier this evening, should have in a week or two. I think the full underbelly will be the tough one to find Now to find the proper left side front quarter. I Learn something everyday.😀
  17. So every car outside of the United States came with captive nuts on the front valance …….not as rare a peice as I thought…… worldwide.. Appreciate answering that question for me… Now to find a 240 spook spoiler to utilize this part. David
  18. Found on eBay recently, and curious if this is how all Jdm cars come from factory? With captured nuts for optional belly pan, that runs under the engine compartment?
  19. Noticed this 46-11-9….hidden under the ashtray door slide. Thinking it may refer to a date of November 9, 1971? Or would it be September 9,1971 Trying to hammer down date of production of my hs30-10324 car if it is possible to get down to a month, or day of production.
