  1. ...then you might want to get in contact with these people! http://www.hietbrink.com/ They also sell 'exhaust snaps'. Out of interest, what's an exhaust snap? They look a bit like a muffler.
  2. Yes, I believe it came with a semi-automatic antenna. As in, you had to flick a switch to make it go up, it wouldn't go up as you turned the radio on... This is what I've been told anyway.

No, it's not just you. HTML, smilies, and even the board code (can't even quote you properly!) has been turned off for some reason... so we can't even post links, or images (unless theyre attached to the message). Strange...

eehehe yeah you want some nabes with good dish Gav if you're planning on entertaining. This one (attached) seems to have way too much positive offset, I'm not sure if the spacers youre using are safe Gav!!! Japanese wordplay joke: What do you get if you turn a deer upside down? Lollies! (do you get that, Alan???)

Yeah, 8 is pretty wide there mate! HI-FIVE!!! You can join our special Watanabe club now! Collect your name-badge at the door. Your wheels seem to be a bit weird lookin - a different style to the classic RS-8. Are you sure that's enough offset? I hope so!!! I think I prefer the classic style to be honest but having not seen them on a car I should hold my judgement! Can't wait until we can see some pics of your car with them on. http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/images/photogallery/autosalon02/autosa5.jpg I thought this was pretty flash too. Not my style but http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/images/photogallery/autosalon/super246z.jpg (cant seem to post images or URL's anymore......... Mike whats the deal?)

I'd rather the Celica underneath it :stupid:
  9. Just quickly did this... its an animated gif so you can see what it looked like before and after. It's only a couple of inches shorter but the difference is noticeable. Maybe on a different angle would be better..
  10. Being the optimist that I am, I'm bookmarking this thread as reference for when I go on holiday to Japan!!!

  13. Oh geez, Alan, Kats, thankyou so much for sharing your knowledge!! I know it might be a long time before I can really afford to buy THAT book. You weren't kidding when you said it was expensive, Alan! A question about the air filter box... is that just a spare one held in the storage container? Wouldn't it be cool if it was a little esky, to keep that Japanese beer in on long journeys!! Again, thanks for everyone's input. I love it!

Youre lucky pal!! I was going to bid on that, but after seeing your username decided against it. Good luck with the restoration!
  16. 2300GT!!! Wow! You learn something new every day. Thanks for your input Kats. I found a picture of the 2300GT... different grille, door mirror, and some kind of scoop underneath the front. Anyone else want to play spot the difference? http://village.infoweb.ne.jp/~2000gt/2000gt/2300gt/2300-13.jpg
  17. To be honest that looks a bit silly! It's really missing the best part of the car IMO... looks a bit French...
  18. Sure was!!
  19. Lucky sods... one day I'll see one, one day. Would you say they're similar in size to the 240Z? They look about the same, except lower. I love especially how the windscreen wraps around, and continues down the sides without a body-coloured windscreen pillar getting in the way.

  21. Some of the more open-minded enthusiasts here might like to have a look at this absolutely stunning example of a Toyota 2000GT currently on Yahoo Auctions Japan. http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g15069185 That's a starting price of USD$91,000 and a "Buy-it-now" price of USD$186,000 :stupid:

  23. Heya guys, Just on Ebay Australia came up a Modern Motor magazine from 1974 which contains a couple of pics and little bit of info on the Fairlady Z 2+2 G-Nose prototype which was displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1974. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2460922539&category=32081 It's not got any real information, but some of you might still want a copy... FWIW!
