  3. Great show. Well worth watching.
  4. Has anybody put a grommet & drain hole in after they have fixed their battery tray area? Seems like it would at least keep standing water out.
  5. How did this work out? Roger is my source too. I looked at the pics in your gallery. Seems to have turned out well. Any pointers from having done this?
  6. I have found a suitable donor. Going to have it cut out and grafted in to replace the bad section of my Z. I'll try to get before and after pics.
  7. New air cleaner assembly!
  8. Anybody used the latest MSA brace?
  9. I am still looking for a rust free donor section. Have to decide between having the shop patch the hole or graft in a donor section.

  11. I am in the same boat as most of you. The battery tray itself has surface rust but beneath the tray there is a hole with serious rust. I guess cutting the metal out and replacing it or finding a nice donor are the options......
  12. I'll shoot some pics of the new '78 Z air cleaner ASAP.
  13. Kinda what I thought Gary. Thanks. Seems most of these cars have this problem.
  14. My '78 has a rust hole beneath the battery tray. Are there replacement trays? How do you get it out to make the repairs beneath it? Is cutting out the bad piece and replacing the metal the best fix?
  15. '78 air filter assembly came today. Well packed and looks great.
  16. I bought a NOS air cleaner assembly for my '78 280Z for $115 shipped. It came today. I haven't been home to check it out yet. Norman was very helpful. He pasted a pic from the Nissan parts manual to help me confirm the part was correct.

  18. For sure. I can't wait!
  19. RoopZ, Thanks for your help. Those were my 3 options. The Diamont looked the best of the 3 mixed and sprayed samples.

  21. ROOPZ, It is my understanding that Chromabase is a Dupont product. Dupont also owns Spies-Hecker. Diamont is a BASF product. Am I correct?
