Timing Chain assembly?
Both the original tensioner and the new one have rubber type washers between the tensioner pad and it's housing.

Timing Chain assembly?
Yes, I set mine as tight as possible end of the slot. My slot is on the top side pivots from the bottom. My original bolt had a flat washer to cover the slot. The oil Slinger is sitting in position same as your picture. I'm going to attempt to put the cover on today without removing the oil pan. Not sure if that's possible but I'm going to give it a whirl.

Timing Chain assembly?
I really appreciate that thank you. I was certain I did everything right I just didn't get to number (11) eleven. I saw your 2019 post and your mathematical computations Cheers

Timing Chain assembly?
The timing chain has the two-silver links and the top sprocket & the bottom of sprocket has little marks on them, and they need to line up, and I believe there's 42 links in between those two points. I did that & was 100 percent certain I was on top dead center # 1 and the crank wood drift key was pointing up; I assembled the new Sprockets guides and tensioner. One of the books I read said to rotate the motor two times making sure nothing's hitting which I rotated it multiple times got it back to top dead center, but I never did get my two-silver chain links to line up the way it did when I set it up originally. My guess is that's normal, but my intuition is confusing my thought process at the moment. Anybody can help me out so I can sleep tonight that would be appreciated.

4-Bolt axle frange bolts.
Vintage Datsun and Nissan parts has the bolt kit (39628-E4100) for $95. But there doesn't seem to be any way to add it to my cart, so I've sent them an email. All the other sites sell the bolt only ranging from 21 to 33 dollars each. I've sent emails out I would like to replace nuts bolts and lock washers Maybe I'll have some luck on Monday

4-Bolt axle frange bolts.
I believe these bolts are 10mm x 125 threads and 22.23mm long. I'd like to replace those as the 54 year old rusted almost stripped ones that I removed I'd rather not put back on. Does anybody know where I can find these special nuts, bolts & lock washers? Most likely they are hardened as well. Thank you in advance for any tips or directions that may come my way.

Fuel tank needed
Iβm interested in your used tank. Iβm in San Jose California. I remember 30 years ago the fuel tank in my 1956 GMC truck I had resealed, but Iβm not sure that those kind of shops are even still around because of the chemicals in the EPA restrictions. My Z is 54 years old and from what I could tell, which, of course is limited with the Bore scope, itβs very rusted

Fuel tank needed
So I emailed with Chris at S 30.world. He has a tank for me but itβs 695+ $160 shipping plus $435 tariff. he also told me that sometime in January, they will be establishing a warehouse in Los Angeles. That way we save the tariff and the freight from the Netherlands.

Strut Bellows Dust Cover
Installing KYB Struts with KYB dust cover and bump stop. I noticed a fairly significant gap between the housing tube and the bellow. I thought it needed to be sealed to the housing. Is that true? Opinions welcome.

My 1971 Z didn't Have rubber Bellows type dust cover boots on the strut rod. The manual doesn't show that the car came with that. But it seems like a really good idea to add those before I reassemble the struts Any thoughts on that idea?- Harmonic balancer Rubber shows deterioration
