Plug the advance.. Get car at TDC and mark the notch with paint (WHITE Lossen off the lock nut on the dizzy. Get car at idle. Put timing light on crank and adjust. Tighten up lock nut. And recheck If ok connect vacuum advance. If not re adjust.
  4. plump the bov back into the piping.. instead of the pressure being vented out into atmposhere it goes back into piping.
  5. Check your ignition switch... you can hotwire it.. from the + side of battery to + side of the coil. Now to check your injectiors.. remove the clip on one of the injectors. insert a led light (little red globe thingy) Crank the car over. this will tell you if your getting pulse to the injectors.. if your get pulse try are to start it.. if no success remove fuel rail and see if the injectors are squirting fuel. If they are spray some carby cleaner down the plenum through the tb this should get it started.

  21. steevegee - the block casting is under #6 cyl to my knowlege 2.4 EFI came from early Skylines Maybe you got a 2.4 EFI from a skyline.. They might just use the 280zx top end .... While your head ride height for 280zx's from fender lip to centre or the hub. ? mine reads 14.5 Inchs on the backs and 15 on the front. and 14.5 all around on the new 280zx.

Dont say that my head will get all big now hehehe LOL LOL
  25. make sure its complete, inside and out and the interior in good shape.. i would pressume find good replacement parts would be hard to get a hold off. The under body is critical because thats the hardest to fix... Rust on doors or front fenders is fixable if you have experiance Rust around the windows and on roof is a little more complex. and NEVER beleive what the guy says.. if he says it got a little rust pressume its got a lot.. etc etc.. good luck..
